The home of Jacob's Creek has been recognised as a leading wine tourism site and was entered into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in 2010 for winning Best Major Tourist Attraction three years in a row.
A dissapointed former visitor shared his experience about Jacob's Creek, ¨Jacob's Creek offered a 50% off discount Scoopon for 2 person meal, which appealed to us for its great value to money. We were in a family of three and the staff on the phone when we made the reservation said we could either share the 2 people's food or order something extra from the a la carte menu. On the day, the staff Jasmine forced us to order something extra for using the Scoopon. When we told her that there was no such restriction as confirmed by the reservation staff, she was very annoyed and finally spoke to a manager who confirmed that I was correct. Once she knew we were using the Scoopon, her attitude was very poor throughout the whole meal. Water order was ignored. When we asked for wine suggestion which was included in the package, she replied, "oh personally I dislike all the signature wine we offer". I wonder what her employer would feel if he heard this. During the whole meal, she basically ignored our table, and when we asked for some more water, she gave a fake smile and looked super annoyed once walking away from our table. Other staff did not give a better service either. Horrible experience that I would not take anymore. It is Jacob's Creek choice whether to offer a discount, and if it did, I think the attitude of its staff was basically ruining the whole winery's reputation.¨
