Hissy Fit Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
The Teen Choice Awards is annual awards show that airs on the Fox television network. The awards honor the year's biggest achievements in music, film, sports, television, fashion, social media, and more, voted by viewers living in the United States, aged 13 and over, through various social media sites; primarily Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and YouTube. Winners and nominees for Choice Hissy are those actors of any gender for their performance of an onscreen meltdown and is chosen by 13–19-year-olds. From its inception in 1999, it was an award exclusively given out for film work but in 2017, it recognizes work in television series.
Unsurprisingly, Urban Dictionary defines a "hissy fit" as "a sudden outburst of temper, often used to describe female anger at something trivial. The hissy fit has a terribly gendered history and is usually used to dismiss female anger or frustration.
