GT Bicycles designs and manufactures BMX, mountain, and road bicycles. GT is a division of a Canadian conglomerate, Dorel Industries, which also markets Cannondale, Schwinn, Mongoose (company), IronHorse, DYNO, and RoadMaster bicycle brands; all manufactured in Asia.
Gt Bikes has design flaws and many parts have to be replaced like the front fork, the front tire, the supplied handlebar, and the stack-height of the bike is too low, according to a post published by bikeride.com
"Many riders said that the front fork was a little short – and would have replaced. A few riders said that the front tire wasn’t suitable and needed to be replaced with one that featured a softer compound material to improve cornering traction. Almost all reviewers saw the stack-height at the front of the bike as being too low. Many of them replaced the supplied handlebar with a riser bar."
