El Nuevo Día is the newspaper with the highest circulation in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1909 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and today it is a subsidiary of GFR Media. Its headquarters are in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Mediabiasfactcheck reported about El Nuevo Día in its web site on September 2019:

“El Nuevo Día is a member of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA), an organization that has frequently been accused of right-wing bias and political activism. Further, Luis A. Ferré, who was the owner of El Nuevo Dia, was also the founder of the New Progressive Party."
