Gail Shea Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Gail R. Shea (born April 6, 1959) is a Canadian politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Egmont from 2008 to 2015. She was previously a member of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 2000 to 2007, representing the electoral district of Tignish-DeBlois as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.
Gail Shea complained about media coverage in the middle of a Senate scandal, when she actually benefited from it by using the distraction to reject a plea from the government to reverse her decision to shut down a rescue center, according to an article published by pressprogress.ca
"Gail Shea complained about the amount of media coverage devoted to the “unfortunate situation” that is the Senate expense. Without a doubt, the Senate scandal has sucked up much of the political oxygen in Canada, grabbing most of the front-page headlines. Shea, though, should count herself lucky for the distraction. After all, in the last month alone Shea rejected a plea from the government of Newfoundland and Labrador to reverse her decision to shut down the St. John’s Maritime Rescue Centre."
