Millwright/Welder (Former Employee) says

"I have worked at several other construction companies in the past. This wouldn’t be my first choice. The crew is small, 6 guys, high turn over rate. They hire you as part time with promises to make you a full time employee which never happens. You meet at the shop early in the mornings and ride all over the state to different jobs in the company truck. So if something comes up during the day you’re stuck and can’t leave. Need a day off or miss work and you’ll be in trouble. Long hours of travel and depending on the job location, you’ll spend your life in a hotel. You might as well write off your personal life. Depending on the time of year you’re working 7 days a week maybe 16+ hours a day. There’s days where you don’t take a break or even lunch. If your luck on those days someone may grab fast food and bring it to the site. The crew is so small there’s no room for advancement because bosses are buddies and look out for each other. Some good Coworkers but leadership is scatter brained. Things are very unorganized and supervision is non existent. We spend more time fixing past projects than doing new work. I’m a past employee an easily found a better job where I could move up in a company. At this rate this one won’t be in business long. If you enjoy high stress, long hours, zero safety and poor management and low pay with no prospect of moving ahead this place is for you. Submit a application because they hire anyone with zero experience. If your a skilled worker that wants to take pride in his job and look forward to coming to work everyday look elsewhere. Cons: Zero safety, poor/not respectful management, poor pay"

Operator/Labourer (Former Employee) says

"poor place to work family comes first doesn't matter length of time worked their they look after the family employee's first make sure they get the hrs no one else matters management sucks and no leader ship"

Former employee (Former Employee) says

"Poor place to work. Jobs are being eliminated, positions aren’t being back filled, management is terrible and people are asked to do lore and more for less. Benefits are good but management is terrible and they don’t care about their employees"

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) says

"Giving 1 Star was generous since giving 0 was not an option. If you want to work for a company that disrespects you, doesn’t communicate with anyone, severely under staffed & never get a review or raise this is your place! Cons: Everything"

Freight Broker/ Dispatcher (Former Employee) says

"This company used to be a wonderful place but it has become money driven and less client friendly. This is due to the management feuds and jealousy. A lot of money has been lost because of this and a lot of wonderful employees were let go for trumped up reasons and offices closed. Cons: bad management, dirty dealings and passing the buck"

FORKLIFT OPERATOR (Former Employee) says

"They do not respect the workers the management plays favorites they beleive in safety as long as it does not cost to much. They like to pass the buck so they can be lilly white.THEY SUCK! Cons: If you think you can have a career there FORGET IT !"

Processing Specialist (Former Employee) says

"I recently left Growmark feeling devalued and demoralized. I really want to emphasize how the current culture made me feel less than I was. There's a toxic culture throughout Growmark's headquarters in Bloomington. I've personally witnessed it from VP to mailroom. I didn't fully understand until I went to work for my current employer that has empowered me and makes me feel incredibly valued. I never realized how important leadership was until Growmark. Leadership decisions on personnel are not made based on performance, but on who's a better cronie. They are made through a toxic gossip mill and whispered conversations in dark corners. Leadership roles in Growmark currently consist of unqualified and ammoral individuals. Beware of 'committees' they are there for throwing people under the bus. Looking back, I wish I would have moved on sooner rather than later. Cons: Anyone with 'supervisor', 'manager', or 'director' in their title"

Loader Operator (Former Employee) says

"The company has lots of potential and the job itself is not bad but it's only seasonal and the months that you do work leaves you no time for family and of course you work during the spring and summer months so that's when people do family outings and vacation, but you can forget doing any of that. The company does give you vacation time but when you put in for certain days off they deny it. Then the manager at the Towanda location treat employees like garbage and he does the same to customers. It's a bad play to work or buy things"

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) says

"Management bonuses are so outrageously out of proportion compared to the average worker, they tend to loose sight of humanity in persuit of these large bonuses. I think that workers should demand to know the bonus amounts of all management. Cons: Management, management, management!"

Millwright (Former Employee) says

"You’ll work 75-80 hours a week while staying in a hotel all week. Starting pay is $14 for seasonal with minimal experience. You’re lucky to achieve full time only if another person quits. If you hate raises, this is the place for you. Leadership is non-existent and you’ll typically have 2- 3 people a crew but that’s only if they all haven’t quit yet. They claim “Mon-Fri” but you’ll see Saturday and Sunday work. I’ve even experienced 7 12’s multiple times, back to back. They’ll feed you all the lies and false promises only to let you down and disrespect you. Training is only for lifts, which is a class and then you go up and down in a lift then you’re tossed in them at the next job site. The only safety meetings you’ll have are a few a year that are all crammed into one meeting but that’s only when it’s not busy season (2 months out of the year). If you reach Full-time and get PTO you’re expected to only use it during the winter because busy season is more important than your earned time off. When crane day comes around, you had better hope you had a big breakfast or you’ll starve. Typically no lunch or a couple pieces of Casey’s pizza at 5 PM. We rarely get breaks as it is. Overall, this is not an ideal place to work, just turn the other cheek and don’t look back. Cons: No social life, breaks, leadership, management, respect, life, rest, etc."

Truck Driver (Former Employee) says

"Growmark does not care about their employees I got hurt there they fought tooth and nail not to fix me now that I’m close to getting better they fired me said they can no longer work with me all I did was my job even more then expected trying to help my immediate boss they left me at 60 with a bad back and 2 little girls with no job and no way to support my family"

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) says

"No advancement opportunities. You are usually hired for the position you will stay in. Upper management only care about dollars and how they rank. They say they sell service, but service is the biggest thing we lack"

Freight Broker (Former Employee) says

"There are some really good people that work at Growmark but the logistics department is not a place I would recommend working. The logistics manager only cares about numbers and not people he expects perfection in an imperfect world of transportation. Cons: expected to work long hours with no compensation."

Former Superintendent (Former Employee) says

"Growmark is an excellent entity. But certain CoOps collaborate with Growmark in regards to insurance, retirement etc. And in other capacities. But certain CoOps manage themselves and that's where things can take a dive. Low wage for superintendent position. Very below par and unsafe working conditions. It's unreal what you're asked to do in terms of safety. Once again this isn't a Growmark thing it's the little CoOps that ask you to risk life and limb. There are several CoOp locations that are one call from receiving substantial fines. Please do your research on the elevator you're applying for. It's not worth your safety Cons: Poor management, unsafe working conditions, low wage"

Skid Steer Operator (Former Employee) says

"After being called a "NIG*ER" a myriad of different times, I figured it was time for a change...Why stay there if I was called that? Well I was blackmailed into the job, young broke kid told to keep his mouth shut in return for employment. Cons: management, culture, no room for advancement"

CDL Driver, Applicator (Former Employee) says

"Co-workers were great and will help you with anything you need help with. Boss is bipolar and forgetful. Nothing you do is ever good enough for him. If it wasnt his way it was the highway. Hes against technology in a technology driven field of work anymore. Hes stuck in 1950. The equipment is junk except for a couple of new pieces of equipment. Everything was just bandaged to stay working and not fixed properly. Loved what I did work wise though. You'll meet alot of cool customers. If it weren't for the boss and the kind of low pay I would have stayed for life. Paid time off and 401k are the only good benefits. Cons: Bipolar boss you cant please"

IMS Quality Assurance/Application Support Specialist (Former Employee) says

Dispatcher (Former Employee) says

"when I first started it was a wonderful place to work. Everyone cared for each other and helped each other. As time went on and new management came in it seemed like the new co-workers were out to blame everyone but them self when a mistake happened. It just wasn't fun anymore and time to retire."

Certified Freight Broker/Dispatcher (Former Employee) says

"Enjoyed working for a company that helps the Agriculture Industry. Cons: Work load"

Community Support Specialist (Former Employee) says

"While I loved my team and co-workers, there was definitely a lack of understanding as to what upper management was doing or thinking at times."

Caroline Ayacha says

"Buyer's beware. Golden rule of thumb, If it sounds to good to be true it usually is. Microsoft office 1 time fee of $29.99... Right This is a fraudulent company. They do not have keep your order no. on file. Or your name, coordinates etc. Once you purchase the product, go to order history, your order is not there. You have to download things onto your computer. I contacted them less than 10 days without using or downloading their software and they could not even give me my $29.99 back. They are willing to lose their credibility for $30. I cancelled my credit info so they could no longer take $$$ from my account. If I ever get a refund from them, I will be more than happy to write a positive review."

Tahaan says

"If I could give less than one star, I would. Upon downloading the program, I have had nothing but problems. I have emailed support only to be told they don’t take responsibility, there is no refund, basically BAD LUCK. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Prior to downloading the software, I never had any problems with threats or malware. I have 2 laptops, they both have the same apps, everything is the same. The only difference is the one that The Unity Soft program was downloaded on is the one that has threats. Regardless as to the comments by Unity Soft, I stress BUYER BEWARE!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE UNITY SOFT!!!!"

Debs Foster says

"I bought the product code and it doesn't work... I've messaged them so hoping for a new code or refund ."
