Hostess (Former Employee) says"Managers at Feng Shui are incredibly rude. They do not care about tone of voice or actions they use when they speak with you. Managers call people over by their gender rather than name. Being in a toxic environment caused stress for hosts which made them leave. Waiters are touchy and made hosts uncomfortable. Waiters asked inappropriate questions to underaged girls while on shift. There is no proper training given to new hosts when they start working. Cons: No breaks, bad hours, toxic environment, rude customers"
Consultant (Former Employee) says"traditional chinese destiny to rearrange the rooms, doors in a health, lucky way. Cons: unstable income"
HOSTESS (Former Employee) says"it was hard but the people made it amazing. the hours were flexible but wasnt enough and the pay was okay"
Front Desk Hostess (Former Employee) says"Hostessing at Feng Shui requires you to be on your feet at all times. I learned the floor plan of the restaurant, how to assign the proper booths and tables to customers and inform the the servers in their stations. This job helped me with my communication and socialization skills. I catered to customers at the front desk by answering their questions, seating them, answering phone calls for take-out orders or questions and also redeeming gift cards and coupons. The most enjoyable and hardest part of the job is adjusting and learning about how the restaurant business works. This is a new field for me considering that I am a Nursing student but there are similarities to nursing and the restaurant business when it comes to accomplishing goals and that is customer satisfaction. Cons: short hours, no health benefits"
