Femara Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Letrozole, sold under the brand name Femara among others, is an aromatase inhibitor which is used in the treatment of hormonally-responsive breast cancer after surgery. It was patented in 1986 and approved for medical use in 1996.

On June 2020, an anonymous user wrote on ASKAPATIENT about the use of Femara for breast cancer treatment:

"I had 16 chemo treatments and 40 radiation treatments. I feel worse now then I did going through all my treatment. Crippling headaches, neck and back pain, muscle pain, joint pain especially my shoulders, hands, knees, and feet. I was confused couldn't think straight or remember things. It's like my chemo brain came back. Couldn't sleep, terrible heartburn, nausea, I had to make myself eat. Depression, extremely vivid dreams. I talked to my oncologist about all this and she took me off this medication. I've only been off for about a week but I don't feel any better. I can't sit very long without getting stiff but I can't stand or walk long either the pain is incredible. I use to workout 4 times a week hour each workout - now I can't even go down in my basement to do laundry because of the pain in my joints and muscle. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEDICATION. I know I'll never be able to physically do what I did before and I'm grateful to be alive. But I didn't expect this."
