The company offers services, software and infrastructure in information and communications technology for telecommunications operators, traditional telecommunications and Internet Protocol (IP) networking equipment, mobile and fixed broadband, operations and business support services, cable television, IPTV, video systems, and an extensive services operation.

A former employee shares his disappointing experience on, "Overworked, Underpaid, Management is non-existent, No support, No training, No path for advancement, Frequent Lay-offs at Ericsson. Managers constantly worry about themselves instead of supporting the employees in the field. The worse company I have worked for in my 30-year career."

"No support from management, constant layoffs"

"If your in the North Region tower field, I cannot stress the BS. Unfair treatment, racist management, lack of communication is very high. Since March I have been using my personal vehicle to get to sites. The sites a 3 hrs out of market. I have climbed 2 towers a day and still made a 3 hr trip to return home. NO HOTEL was offered!! Down in TX they scream SAFETY but in reality, the management just wants faster completions. I have been hit with 2 “reasonable suspicion” drug tests, in which I passed both. Honestly Ericsson is good for the money."

"Ericsson USA has lost its shine since mid 2011. They were under pressure to cut costs through offshoring. Engineers and solution architects were hired from India for fraction of the cost. As a result layoffs took place in the US especially when Ericsson’s profitability was questioned in 2017-2018. The Indian employees transferred to the US. Therefore, the company is now another Indian company with little to no Swedish influence. If you decide to join, do your homework of understanding what it is like to work in an Indian culture."

"This company have a lot of papers wit HR campaigns, description of career growing, culture values, but is just paper, when you come inside, see is just misleading advertising."

"Always felt the overwhelming sense of doom. When I started my team was 20+ people. There were cuts after the first few months, and they kept coming regularly again and again. After a while, our learning clients gave up caring about learning because they were so worried for their job. The former CEO ran things into the ground by dreaming but never bringing it to realization. Thousands of people get laid off and he still gets a cushy top level job and doesn't suffer."

"Very, very weak management. Great engineers but terrible managers. Completely different skill set, and most managers there are out of their depth. Badly in need of management training. Not all lower management fault though, as the regional strategy and directives coming from up on high were a joke. Completely disconnected from reality. Dangerous place to work in too, as I saw a lot of highly "questionable" attitudes taken towards certain employees. On paper they profess themselves to be impeccable. Culture is one of intimidation. Saw many colleagues "heavily encouraged" to travel to dangerous locations to keep utilisation high. Very much "the boy's club" mentality. Was always amused at the exact same dress sense all the managers had. Unclear deliverables, poor pay and very high workload. Highly competitive environment with little or no collaboration. Not personally recommended as life is too short. Some people may like that environment though. Each to his/her own.Travel to atypical locations. Get free immunization jabs and malaria pills.No direction, training, clear deliverables. Management structure is non existent."

"Since being taken over by Ericsson morale has plummeted. We work long, anti-social hours and are consistently expected to work faster and faster without compromising accuracy. No pay rise in over three years, and salaries not competitive with industry standards. Constant 'improvements' made to processes that are clunky and actually slow production down. Constant call ins on so-called O-Days, which are actually better described as 'you ARE working we just won't tell you what shift days.' We're just numbers on a payroll and senior management appear to have forgotten that we are people not robots. Work life balance is seriously out of whack. I don't know anyone who wouldn't leave tomorrow if they had any option. Terrible company to work for. The epitome of profit before people.The job itself is fascinatingRubbish pay, horrible shift, O-Day call ins, bad management....the list goes on."

"I worked at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time (More than 10 years) Pros Above average benefits, fast changing environment, cutting edge technology, very human-centric ethical corporation. Swedish norms are more employee friendly and value the individual. Mostly a very nurturing, supportive, and collaborative workplace. Cons Like most large corporations, Ericsson was usually slow to make needed changes and usually 'over-reacted' because of their own delays. In many cases, the reorgs left many employees with managers that did not understand how the business was run."

"Well, generally i wont complaint about my workplace, But trust me this company gave me nightmare. 2 yrs no hike no bonus, and if you think what my contribution to the company or to the project? then let me tell you i was the one who never got any escalation from anyone when my teammate were struggled to pass one single day without an escalation. Make hundred of changes to streamline the project. But at the end ericsson was so busy with the changes, 2 years 3 managers 2 competency head and 2 general managers. Now whom to ask for the hike or bonus because everytime there was a new face who said "Let me settle in first mate then i will see who is doing what! " Nothing to learn new stuffs, no improvement, no appreciation! And trust me ....lots of Politics! That too regional.Cab FacilityEverything you can think of except Transport/Cab facility"

"This company came into the US market with very little knowledge of all pertinent US regulations and standard practices, from the core business (telecom network management) to tax law (some employees paid taxes in states where they had never lived) to benefits management. The work environment was highly toxic, particularly in my team where two terribly qualified managers strived to divide rather than unite the team. They lied about my salary at hiring, and then offered me a "raise" a year later that finally matched the figure I was hired under.None"

"As a software developer its not a good environment to work there, since you would find most of the culture is management oriented and the only tech is for system engineer guys. Its not even advance."

"If you want to be overworked, talked down too, be minimized, mistreated, disrespected by management and discriminated due to your managers insecurities while all the while your work is above par and highly recommended by all the people you work with (PMs CPM and RPM, etc) then you would love this place. But watch your back"
