Emirates (airline) Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Emirates (Arabic: طَيَران الإمارات‎ DMG: Ṭayarān Al-Imārāt), is the flag carrier airline of the United Arab Emirates. Based in Garhoud, Dubai, the airline is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group, which is owned by the government of Dubai's Investment Corporation of Dubai. It is the largest airline in the UAE and the Middle East,[4] operating over 3,600 flights per week from its hub at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, to more than 150 cities in 80 countries across six continents through its fleet of nearly 300 aircraft.[5] Cargo activities are undertaken by Emirates SkyCargo. Emirates is the world's fourth-largest airline by scheduled revenue passenger-kilometers flown, and the second-largest in terms of freight tonne kilometers flown.

M. Collignon from Belgium shared in Airline Quality, a specialized airline reviews website that She is extremely disappointed "Corona crisis started. They basically cut all phone numbers, closed offices, and let us without information in Thailand. They were still selling tickets for the next few days when they canceled our flight back and did not allow us to take place on those just to sell more expensive tickets. Definitely a rip off. Emirates. Don't fly"

Rebecca from Port Charlotte, Florida would give 0 stars if possible, She is also extremely disappointed: "I received an e-mail from Emirates stating that they had canceled my reservation. I immediately called the reservations department and they stated that they would not refund my money. I was welcome to rebook at a price of almost 40% more than the original trip" According to their terms and conditions they should provide a full refund as they were the ones who cancel the trip, but it didn't happen.

Flight Attendant (Former Employee) says

"I just had a terrible experience today at a Job Fair hosted by Emirates Group in Dallas, TX. Two female recruiters wasted many hours of 100+ individuals by delaying almost every task. The job fair was poorly organized and the two foreign recruiters had no idea about local US labor market. Due to their broken English and Zero knowledge of well-known American Brands they were unable to understand the qualifications of many candidates. What will you say if a foreign recruiter ask you about what is Hampton, Embassy,Target & Macy's by looking at your resume. Emirates want to hire slaves from U.S. for only $2500 a month. You have to live in Dubai with Camels and stay on the planes for next 6 months without the ability to pick your route. Wonder how we allow such foreign companies to hire local talent with little or no knowledge of our labor statistics and labor laws. Extremely disappointed by this "Job Fair". I have complete sympathy with those 100+ individuals who spend their time with zero results and frustrations."

Adeel says

"I was booking online and I selected flights and fares, proceeded all the next steps including passenger details, payment details, credit card details, billing address each and everything within few minutes. After finishing with the payment I got an error message instead of payment receipt. I came to know after that the price was changed during booking because of date change. I started booking around 23:55 and finished around 00:03. This happened first time with me. All other airlines give few minutes to complete booking and dont change price for some time during booking completion. Vey bad experience. Very unreliable"

Shannon Cunneen says

"Cancelled my return flight within 48 hours from Thailand with no assistance in getting home. Had to fork out another emergency flight which cost more than double. Still no refund from emirates and really disappointed as this is the first time using them. Looks like it will be the last! Still waiting from March..."

RK says

"Don't trust them. Ridiculous to wait 90 days until Emirates solves a matter caused by them."

Joanne Calvert says

"I'm absolutely shocked. I didn't fly on my return flight in April from Mumbai to Manchester for obvious reasons. At the time I chose to keep my ticket open for future use. Now it's pretty obvious that I won't be travelling to India any time soon, and as my 2 years runs out in September 2021 I decided to apply for a refund. Sooo- I am told that as I used a 1 way flight, the cost of a current 1 way flight will be deducted from what I originally paid - leaving a grand total of £122 to claim back for my unused return flight. I didn't book a 1 way flight - I booked a return and yes I understand the return leg is cheaper when booking together rather than 2 x 1 ways flights. BUT where can I buy a flight from Mumbai to Manchester for £122. And it will take 90 DAYS!! THEN, in the Fare conditions - it looks like my penalty for cancelling an Economy flight is £200. WHAT? So, now I owe you money??? Absolute RIP OFF and SCAM. I am absolutely disgusted with this, I shouldn't have any penalty to pay - YOU cancelled the flight - NOT me. I've always considered you to be the best airline - but this is just ridiculous."
