Edible Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
A cannabis edible, also known as a cannabis-infused food or simply an edible, is a food product that contains cannabinoids, especially tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Although edible may refer to either a food or a drink, a cannabis-infused drink may be referred to more specifically as a liquid edible or drinkable.
In December 2019, the AMERICAN ADDICTION CENTERS website reported about the real dangers of Consuming Marijuana Edibles: “Increased Likelihood to Cause Self-Harm or Hurt Others Due to the delayed onset and uncertain potency of edibles, many people who use these products may unintentionally consume excessively high amounts of THC. One of the consequences of taking in too much of the drug too quickly is users can become violent or unaware of their actions. These individuals may exhibit self-harming behaviors or hurt others while in this state, behaviors that they likely never would have engaged in while sober. There have been several tragic incidents caused by unusual and risky behaviors stemming from the consumption of edibles. One man, while on a family ski trip, shot himself in the head hours after ingesting a number of marijuana-laced candies. Another man, while on a spring break trip with college friends, plummeted to his death after jumping off his 4th-floor hotel room balcony mere hours after consuming a marijuana cookie. Another man was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for the fatal shooting of his wife. Prior to her death, the wife had called 911 out of concern for the erratic behavior and hallucinations that her husband was experiencing after eating marijuana-laced candies”
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) says"Worst employer. They don't treat their employee's fairly. Not recommended for first job time seekers. I worked so late at night and pay $6 only per delivery. Even they appreciate your work but they don't consider your effort and dont pay extra(using your own car). Terrible experience.."
Delivery Driver and Customer Service (Former Employee) says"The job experience might differ among each franchises, however, as a delivery job this is not worth it. At the beginning I was excited to work at this Edible Arrangement's because we offered great products, and by nature of the products, we gave smiles/cheer to people who might need something to cheer them up for the day. I learned a lot from this job, including how to problem solve, as well as customer service. This job is NOT worth it, because the owner and management did not care to create a career path for their hard-working employees. There were no benefits of any kind, on top of that, there's NEVER been any scheduled raises/performance review for about 7-8 years at this franchise. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we were rarely given proper PPE like masks to protect ourselves. We had to face the public with about a dozen non-reusable medical masks in the span of about a year. There were never any career paths for the employees, meaning that even if they work hard and perform well for the company, there won't be any raises. There were never any bonus pays. During the busy mother's day rush, the owner set up a bogus "cleaning bonus" for those who stayed and cleaned the store, however it was never paid out. The lack of care from the owner/management could be evident in the toilet that's chronically broken in the only bathroom at the store. Cons: owner and management do not care for employees' success"
Closer/Cashier (Former Employee) says"Not organized, the boss didn’t care and the pay was horrible. Barely on schedule and an unfair place overall. Everyone was rude. I wouldn’t recommend. Cons: Horrible pay, uncaring boss, disrespectful shift lead, no support, bad scheduling."
Operator (Former Employee) says"Management is AWFUL, easy job, but you dont get paid/ credit for anything. Was paid to be an operator.. But ended up being a manager for a bit, a key holder, and a trainer.. WITHOUT EXTRA PAY. Cons: LITERALLY everything. There is nothing good i could say about working here."
Driver (Current Employee) says"Terrible place to work at. The pay is awful, you never know when the day is going to end. The boss does not care about you as an employee she only cares about the company."
Customer Service (Former Employee) says"Work-life balance"
Driver (Former Employee) says"Insufficient pay for an exorbitant amount of work. Unable to clock yourself in or out so the overtime you will inevitably work is not properly, if at all, accounted for. Cons: listed above"
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"No formal training. Lack of communication. Had problems crop up didn’t seem like anyone cared or wanted to help fix them. First day on job handed keys and told to load truck."
Manager (Former Employee) says"The most horrible place I have ever worked. They treat you like you are not even human. I would never even shop there."
Edible arrangements (Former Employee) says"Worst place I've ever worked at."
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"It was easily one of the worst jobs I had ever worked in my life. Management only cared about themselves and not employees or barely customers. The job did not allow me to have a life nor did they care. My mother was in the hospital and they wouldn't even allow me to take off to be with her. I was told "You can see her when you get off." Who's says something like that? Even a local police officer told me I should quit when they told me to push the truck out of traffic when it had broken down. Stay away from this job if you can, there's a reason they can't keep anyone."
Fruit Prep (Former Employee) says"Run for the hills . Terrible work culture full of throwing people under the bus , rude and disrespectful to each other , blaming you for any and every thing . Store owner is extremely shady ! She refuses to give paystubs so you won’t see how much you’re actually making and why you’re making sooo little . Hours and pay almost never add up . Terrible work environment. I would never do it again or recommend to anyone . Cons: Shady business practices, unfair pay, poor management"
Arrangement Maker (Former Employee) says"If you want to work for a grumpy, verbally abusive person, this is the perfect job for you! No matter how fast or hard you work, you'll never hear "good job" or "keep it up." Only constant criticism and being talked down to. I have no idea why this person is working there if they're so miserable. Don't work at the Portsmouth, NH location if you have any self respect."
Fruit Designer (Former Employee) says"Good place to work but is very slow unless it is valentines day. The location I was at had a very rude owner who did not respect my schedule or the workers."
Team Member (Part-time) says"The managers and the person who hired me seemed nice at first, yet always ended up being so rude. She would speak to people rudely, and one time when I called her for information she talked down on me."
DELIVERY DRIVER (Former Employee) says"New owners that bought the store in manalapan are insane. The woman thinks she's above everyone else. Always talking down to workers and customers. Bad place to work at for $10.00/Hr. Cons: Everything"
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"I worked for this company for a few months, who were previously located off W. Broad St., but are now located off of Three Chopt Rd. The first negative thing that I noticed about the job, was that I didn't receive my paperwork until 2 weeks after I started working. This messed up my chances of being able to get paid on time. The manager's "solution" for this, was to send me money via Venmo. This resulted in me getting paid 4 days late for my first paycheck, 6 days late for my 2nd, and 4 days late for my 3rd. I have bills to pay, so most people would see that as unacceptable. The manager also had been paying me $10/hr, when we agreed on $12/hr at the beginning of employment. The care for employees is almost non-existent here. I could write more about my awful experience here, but I'll leave it at that. Save yourself the headaches, and find a different job!"
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says"The owner was not consistant with expectations, and direction to grow. I often had to work the entire store alone during peak hours. Time was inconsistent for management."
Fruit Expert (Former Employee) says"The store has poor management. They throw trash into trash cans with no bag in there, you are there by yourself, cleaning is a lot, and there is little respect for employees. Cons: Everything else"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"The Burlington NC store! We were paid in the 1st and the 15th and always ask to hold our checks for several days or weeks. The owner and manager bought items like balloons, and containers from dollar tree, stuffed animals from Walmart and sold them as edible arrangement Merchandise. A lot of time the chocolate and fruit was purchased from Walmart and Aldis and passed off as gourmet, mold was washed off of grapes"
Former Employee - Crew Member says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time for less than a year Cons: you work like you’re a manager and don’t get paid for the work you have to do"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time Cons: Minimum wage very short shifts had to drive our own vehicle after the death trap of a work van was stopped by the police the tags were dead They wanted me to open and close and then got mad that I was working so much because they were losing money"
Former Employee - Operator says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time for more than 3 years Cons: No breaks at all, hires literally whoever walks through the door, inappropriate comments from the manager, unrealistic expectations."
Former Employee - Delivery Driver says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time for less than a year Cons: No compensation provided, even when asked, for gas or personal car repairs/damage caused by working. Sometimes wasn't compensated for tolls. Was paid $7.50 per delivery made."
Current Employee - Production says"I have been working at Edible Arrangements full-time Cons: it was a messy environment"
Former Employee - Customer Service says"I worked at Edible Arrangements full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Corporate office continuously makes it difficult for store owners to stay in business. They mandated upgrades that were not minor a few years ago, then changes their mind and decide to go with a completely different color scheme and mandating they purchase additional expensive equipment. There's so much turnover at corporate it's like a revolving door-and it never stops turning. The founder/CEO forces vendors to give kickbacks in exchange for offering up the store owner's money, which the vendors pass off in increased prices to the store owners. I was laid off because my store owner can't afford to pay me and several other employees and keep the doors open at the store."
Former Employee - Fruit Expert says"I worked at Edible Arrangements full-time for less than a year Cons: Poor leadership, management cares nothing for the employees, just want to make money."
Former Employee - Senior Manager says"I worked at Edible Arrangements full-time for less than a year Cons: I believe another CEO/President is out. No one can last there with the founder. I hate seeing people with presumably good jobs/careers leaving to go there. Please, please, please don't."
Former Employee - Fruit Expert says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time for less than a year Cons: Cons: management does everything they can to not be in store or help whatsoever"
Former Employee - Delivery Driver says"I worked at Edible Arrangements part-time for less than a year Cons: Last minute orders that require an extra 2 hours of time spent at work. Heard manager make fun of overweight applicant. Manager played favorites. If you don't dive into the "culture", don't expect fair treatment, it's cringy. You're not allowed to leave deliveries, MUST be taken by someone or have permission to leave it (can't do this in the summer only winter). Hired another person for delivery when our hours got cut already. Delivery drivers are also janitors! Enjoy the block walk to the dumpster. And have fun scraping old chocolate off the floor with a spackle tool at the end of a broom handle. $10/hr job, but holiday temps get paid $8 bucks per delivery...so averaging around $100+ dollars a day for a couple hours while we got near to nothing and longer hours in comparison."
