Mixer Operator (Former Employee) says

"Your better off applying somewhere else this place is a joke the management doesn't know what it's doing and if your not one of there favorites they will throw you under the bus there are no pay raises no bonus trust me this isn't a reliable company to work for trust me your better off somewhere else Cons: The whole company"

Roofer (Former Employee) says

"a typical day at work was just roofing"

Service Manager (Current Employee) says

"Simon Roofing has become a joke. They have implemented so many rules that they contradict each other. They have upper level management that should no way shape or form be in charge of people. They have no training program, then turn around at write employees up for not doing things correctly. If you get on the bad side of Phil or Kim you might as well leave. You can be the best and most knowledgeable worker and they will come up with a way to get rid of you. Not to mention the constant unethical, demeaning, and bad treatment of the employees. The only good thing about working for this place is the pay. But if your out in the field you better hope your single, no family, and don't want a life. You'll be working 70 hours a week and it still will not be good enough. Cons: Everything"

Roofing Foreman (Former Employee) says

"It was always back and forth on what they were wanting me to do. One person would tell me one thing and then the other just didnt even want me to work. No one stated in the interview or in training that I would travel in different parts of the United states. I wouldn't work here. Bad management and no one could get their story straight. Cons: Bad management"

Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"The people in corporate have to get into every aspect of how to control the workers always coming up with new rules. They say that they are all about family but if you work here you never get to see yours. Constantly watching you, whether you know it or not. (They have their ways)"

Corporate (Former Employee) says

"Highly nepotistic company is floundering due to their reactive buisness sense. No room for advancement and constant restructoring creates a feeling of no job security.. turnover of quality talent is high and company morale is very low."

Service Technician (Former Employee) says

"Always traveling. I went all over the country for Simon. They don't appreciate it. This company is all about making money for the owners. I dont recommend working here to anyone. The company doesn't care about its employees. I promise you Cons: Too much travel and very analytical Company"

Roofing Technician (Former Employee) says

"Their was a ticket for no proof of insurance of a company vehicle and they didn’t send the proper documents. Nor let the Technician know when his hearing date was or anything. Cons: Stay away from home for long periods of time."

Regional account manager (Former Employee) says

"If you do not make your quota in the first year you will be fired. You are expected to enter in to CRM 200 communications per week and also attend meetings and networking events. There is absolutely no training and even if you are in a brand new territory you will not be given any leads you are expected to develop the territory. You will also be micromanaged beyond any belief."

Quality Control Inspector/Technician (Former Employee) says

"Too much traveling and not eenough compensation."

Account Manager (Former Employee) says

"Selective management decision making that is mainly based on favoritism. Although I was quickly interviewed and hired based on my skill set there was no in depth job training. The work culture amongst employees in the sales force and account management team is very unhealthy. Inconsistencies in plans lead to two main sales people with the rest of the team doing all the back end work. Cons: Poor leadership, bad work culture"

Roofer/Laborer (Current Employee) says

"Great depending on the people in the company. A bit of a crooked company if your not good with the people you work for. Will black ball you out of work if you don’t kiss up. Cons: Terrible communication and will black ball you if they don’t like you"

Foreman (Former Employee) says

"Cleveland branch was mismanaged by a complete moron . Thought he was a dictator or tyrant . Had no clue how to manage people or even talk to them . I quit after 3 months and don't regret it ."

Pre Vision (Former Employee) says

"Get promised one thing only to be told they won't honor that. And that you work in a right to work state and they can eliminate you for any reason. Unethical for those reasons."

Data Entry Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Work is never done at Simon Roofing. This is a very demanding "closer" position with deadlines, higher-ups consistently over-looking your work & you must have the speed it takes to keep up with the high demand of numbers that must be met each month. Cons: No time off, no "closing" time"

Regional Account Manager (Former Employee) says

"Poor management. Company has a great product. But the bulldog style of management is too much from one particular manager in mind. I was in an area that had been forgotten for a long time, and it's a very saturated industry full of cheap companies. Be prepared to sit in a room, and do nothing but be a telemarketing machine who is cold calling local business for a meeting. Cons: Management, price of products/labor, telemarketing"

Service foreman (Current Employee) says

"Empty promises. You can work as hard as you want but unless u pucker up you won’t go anywhere. Not to mention they have roof repairs that are suspect."

Service Foreman (Former Employee) says

"This company has a few ups but more downs than you can count.. They provide good medical benefits but when it comes to work you're out of town 95% of the time."

Service Foreman (Current Employee) says

"They will hire you in at a nice starting wage and never move you from there they will also force you to travel for work or else they will penalize you traveling includes working on the road sometimes taking a plane across the United States and you have to stay for 21 days no questions asked so you’re forced to travel for almost a month at a time fairly often managers will use poor business tactics to complete work orders and increase profits with no clue of repercussions for down the road from their actions. Pay is good work life balance will start out fine and they will slowly drill you with work and tell you you “have to get it done” they started a bs career ladder for moving up in the company and do not stand by it a previous employee fought for 2 months for a pay increase after 3 years of employment they just waited for him to quit. Poor values good pay if you’ve worked a job that sounds like that it’s what it sounds like Cons: Everything else"

Call Center (Former Employee) says

"As much as I enjoyed my time at Simon, there were also major down falls. If you work in the call center as a dispatcher, biller, or closer be prepared to work 50-60 hours a week during busy season. Branches all over the country keep a pretty steady flow of work year round, but management prays for the California rainy season and hurricane season. You better hope you are single with no kids!"
