Codman Neuro is a global neurosurgery and neurovascular company that offers a broad portfolio of devices for hydrocephalus management, neuro intensive care and cranial surgery, as well as aneurysm coils, vascular reconstruction devices and other technologies used in the endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms and stroke. Codman Neuro is part of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson.

The company has a history of corruption and legal fines: Global health care giant Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and its subsidiaries will pay more than $2.2 billion to resolve criminal and civil liability arising from allegations relating to the prescription drugs Risperdal, Invega and Natrecor, including promotion for uses not approved as safe and effective by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and payment of kickbacks to physicians and to the nation’s largest long-term care pharmacy provider. The global resolution is one of the largest health care fraud settlements in U.S. history, including criminal fines and forfeiture totaling $485 million and civil settlements with the federal government and states totaling $1.72 billion.

Most horrible is that they poisoned babies and women for decades with toxic baby powder! Facing thousands of lawsuits alleging that its talc caused cancer, J&J insists on the safety and purity of its iconic product. But internal documents examined by Reuters show that the company's powder was sometimes tainted with carcinogenic asbestos and that J&J kept that information from regulators and the public.

The work culture is not great: An employee from Colorado stated this about a recent Johnson & Johnson acquisition of their business "They don't pay good they don't treat you as a human and they're not a good company over all their management sucks and communication sucks It was a good company... but ever since Johnson & Johnson took over its been going down hill fast..."

"Leadership at Codman is very old school and incapable of change. Management is very weak and poor behavior is supported. Problems aren’t addressed accordingly or at all. HR is a joke. Don’t even bother bringing issues to them because it’s not confidential at all. The turnover rate is ridiculous and that’s a huge red flag. Management gets so surprised when star players leave the company like they don’t have a hand in the reason why. You’ll be very stressed and worn out. Too many “managers” in roles they can’t handle but makes the work environment very hard to deal with. Codman Square Health Center is not worth anyone’s time. Cons: Lack of advancement"

"The new managers/supervisors are horrible. They truly do not care about you as a human being. While having the full backing of the COO, they make false claims against employees that have been with the organization for many years to push them out and make room for new hires that they can mold to their liking. Employee morale is down because of it."

Greeter/Member Services/ Internship (Former Employee) says

"I started working at Codman Square Health Center as in intern from my school. During my interview before my internship started I was hired for a temporary position. I started out doing insurance verification and demographics with the center. this lasted about 1 month. I was then asked to be the greeter of patients and staff as they entered the health center. I was not pleased with this position because it didn't allow me to use the skills that possessed. Cons: short breaks and lunches, promotions was hard to get."
