Coca-cola light Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Diet Coke, Coca-Cola light or Light Taste Coca-Cola (in the Benelux and Germany) is a sugar-free and no-calorie soft drink produced and distributed by The Coca-Cola Company. It contains artificial sweeteners instead of sugar. Unveiled on July 8, 1982, and introduced in the United States on August 9, it was the first new brand since 1886 to use the Coca-Cola trademark. The product quickly overtook the company's existing diet cola, Tab, in sales.

According to a piece published in HEALTH LINE that takes a detailed look at Coke Zero, Coca-Cola Light, and Diet Coke and explains some of the downsides of its consume.

Among other aspects the acidic pH level of Coke Zero is associated with an increased risk of enamel and tooth erosion, though it may affect your teeth less than other acidic beverages.

Similarly to regular soda, drinking diet sodas like Coke Zero is associated with an increased risk of tooth erosion. One of the main ingredients in Coke Zero is phosphoric acid.

One study on human teeth noted that phosphoric acid causes mild enamel and tooth erosion.

Another study observed that Coca-Cola Light (Diet Coke), which differs from Coke Zero only in that it contains both phosphoric and citric acid, caused enamel and tooth erosion in freshly extracted cow’s teeth in just 3 minutes.

Still, keep in mind that citric acid has been found to erode teeth more than phosphoric acid, which suggests that Coke Zero may affect tooth enamel slightly less than Diet Coke (13Trusted Source).

Additionally, Diet Coke had less erosive effects than other beverages, such as Sprite, Mountain Dew, and apple juice
