Chips Ahoy Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Chips Ahoy! is a brand of cookie, baked and marketed by Nabisco, a subsidiary of Mondelēz International, that debuted in 1963. It is widely sold in the United States, Latin America (where its name in some countries is "Choco Chips"), South Africa, Canada, India, Spain, Portugal, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Mauritius, United Kingdom, Italy and many more regions. It is marketed in varieties of 1 ounce (28 g) mini-sized cookie packages to around 48 ounces (1,400 g) packages of standard-sized cookies. It is the third best-selling cookie in the United States after Oreo, also a Nabisco-branded cookie, with an average of US$619.4 million in sales per year. By the 1980s, several different varieties of the cookie snack were being baked and shipped to grocery stores: chewy, sprinkled, and striped. In Indonesia, Chips Ahoy! was relaunched in September 2015 after the product was discontinued in that country in the early 2010s.

According to U.S News, Chips Ahoy Cookies were Recalled for 'Unexpected Solidified Ingredient', the manufacturer announced the recall over the weekend and said it had received some reports of "potential adverse health effects." Mondelez Global did not specify what the "unexpected" ingredient was or what the adverse side effects were. The recall applies to 13-ounce packages of Chips Ahoy Chewy Cookies with expiration dates of Sept. 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2019.

No other products by Mondelez Global are under recall. The product is available at stores nationwide and has a universal product code of 0 44000 03223 4.

The company advised people in possession of the product not to eat it and to contact the company.

"I tried one of my old time favorites, Milka Chocolate Bar: CREAM. This used to be sublime, creamy, chocolately, just gorgeous... NOT ANYMORE! It is a grease, sugary mess, no cocoa solids, no chocolate rich taste, just grease!! Milka was a brand I craved when you could only get it in France, Austria etc. My holidays were filled with excitement, knowing I could spend my pocket money on a purple bar of gorgeousness. RIP MILKA, You've gone the same way as Cadbury, the Road to GREASE and GREED!!!!"
