Chateau Lafite Rothschild Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Château Lafite Rothschild is a wine estate in France, owned by members of the Rothschild family since the 19th century. The name Lafite comes from the surname of the La Fite family. Lafite was one of four wine-producing châteaux of Bordeaux originally awarded First Growth status in the 1855 Classification, which was based on the prices and wine quality at that time. Since then, it has been a consistent producer of one of the world's most expensive red wines.

NaimahCallachand Padstow, United Kingdom wrote a review for TRIP ADVISOR about Château Lafite Rothschild: "We booked our full day electric bike tour a few months ago via TripAdvisor. We got picked up by our guide at 9.30 am from the rustic vines office. Our guide was lovely and knew a lot about wine (sorry I forget his name!) - giving us a background and lots of information on the drive to Saint-Émilion. On arrival to Saint-Émilion, we picked up our e-bikes and headed to our first chateaux! The e-bikes were great, although we were a little disappointed as we had read it would be an hour cycling between each chateaux and hence why we specifically picked the bike tour - however, on arrival our guide informed us this would actually be a lot shorter around 30 minutes between each chateaux. We went to Chateau Ambre Tour Pourret and Chateau le Chatelet - both of which were beautiful. We got to sample some wines and had a bit of a tour of the cellars. Cycling between the chateaux was great - the scenes were absolutely beautiful! Our guide provided a delicious picnic at the first chateau! We ended the tour in Saint-Émilion and our guide took us to another wine shop for some more tasting. We were a bit disappointed with this as we felt we had been taken to quite an expensive shop and it would have been nice to see more of the other shops and have more of a chance to purchase some other wine. We were also told we would be back around 5.30/6 - but in fact, we got back to Bordeaux at around 4.30... leaving us feeling that our tour had been cut short... Spending £110 each on this tour we felt we didn’t quite get our value for money..."
