CGI Inc., more commonly known as CGI, is a Canadian global information technology (IT) consulting, systems integration, outsourcing, and solutions company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

A former employee mentioned, "I had joined CGI Bangalore , India and was part of the Solutions and Architecture Team ; Global Technology Operations ; The Following is the Realty : VP Consulting who heads the Solutions and Architecture Indulges in unethical practice of harassing team member by colluding with his known associate in a leading Job Portal (Sadu) in India to target the member by monitoring the members profile in the Job Portal, Stage Managing Fake Interviews through his network. This harassment continues even after I left CGI almost 20 Months ago. Despite bringing this to the notice of CGI Leadership including CGI Chairman, CEO and India Leadership , VP Consulting continues to indulge in unethical practice. This is a best case of a SO-CALLED leader having a Double PhD with MBA from a reputed institution misusing his position and power in CGI; Leaders who don't align to the core values of the company and who doesn't lead by example cant represent an organisation driven by ethics, integrity , respect for each other in any forum. I have raised the concern with the CEO of the leading job portal highlighting the unethical approach and harassment being orchestrated by the VP Consulting in CGI. A leader who doesn't fall in line can't be a leading a solutions and architecture unit for Global customers"

"They don't keep their word on compensation. Promotion is from who you know not what you know or performance. Layoffs are. Random without 2 week notice. They treat federal workers with compassion and respect and make is sit through meetings praising promotion and compassion of federal workers and disregard contract workers.17 hr wage to 20. Insurance is Cigna 401No in house human resources for 400 workers. No promotion no respect."

"Working for CGI in the beginning can be a very positive professional challenge for any individual, however as time goes by you really start to learn the in’s and out’s of how things work, around there, and then you start to notice how much favouritism there is within the senior leadership team. Your job is never secure if you’re not high up on the totem pole and even then you’re at risk. You will always feel that uncertainty as to when/if you will be replaced. Some of the senior management at CGI can be fair when it comes to workload and expectations, but they are few and far between. With favouritism, politics, and the lack of leadership there I’d say look elsewhere. In way of salary; it’s low for what you’re expected to do. Work life balance is average, but I also know that people have accumulated so much vacation time because they’re never given an opportunity to take time off because the job just won’t permit it = work overload.Client eventsProfessional growth, salary, work life balance, work atmosphere"

"CGI isn't a company that fosters your growth, they sap you of any knowledge and skillset that you have until you break. There isn't any effort to protect the employees and as they utilize a "bench" service, they feel that any tech can be replaced. Customer Service takes a backseat to the bottom line. Terrible place for your mental well being and I would strongly advise avoiding."

"Management are bullies. Your shift changes every week and you have to work a 12 hour shift every other weekend with no extra pay for it. Management constantly micro manages and they are always looking for reasons to write you up. this is a good company to get away from as quickly as possible"

"This company will hire anyone, they play favorites, will abuse you with harassment, of false accusations, no union, no opportunity for advancement, horrible dumb, stupid incompetent mangers and supervisors, they don't know the job or understand how to respect or reward, it's all about production, no sick leave, vacation or leave is 1.54 hours a week. No rewards or bonuses, dirty filthy unsanitary work stations that are rotated all day, backstabbing co workers, and you are only spoken to when you make a mistake not when you do a good job. No organizing, you are belittled on a daily basis, co workers are rude and miserable, lowest morale I have ever seen. They were just investigated by the OIG, now desperate to hire since they lost 30-40 people due to abuse by co workers and managers. Do not waste your life and time you will gain weight, become unhealthy and be in a sweat shop like atmosphere. You are policed and watched on a min by min basis No salary is worth that I am glad to be gone."

"If you want to get stabbed in the back, walked on, as well as used and abused, then CGI is the place for you. The management basically does whatever the client asks. Scope creep is an everyday activity. There are no incentives nor rewards for hard work or extra effort. Hard work and extra effort are expected. Everybody is busy covering their own back sides and pointing fingers to lay blame on others. This is a completely toxic work environment. The reason you've never heard of this company is because they are a me too contract house, not an innovator with first rate talent. They churn and burn their employees and have large turnover. They talk big about industry leadership and people development, but it is all fantasy marketing hype."

I’m not sure if this company pays more attention to some CGI entities than others but they really need to make some changes. "Most management have no idea what they are doing. Constantly things going wrong managers overbooking your holidays, refusal to pay overtime, usually about one team member per group now. Everyone wants to strike, I left here as they refused to pay me my overtime resulting in not being able to pay rent, they kept my last wage and overtime and because they closed my accounts I had no way to prove them wrong"

"Worked in Huntsville AL. Management only cares about the bottom dollar, will continually lie to your face. Health benefits are high deductible and awful. The 401k match is capped at $2,500. . seriously. If you try and get into management, they will give you additional duties without promoting you or giving you additional compensation. Seriously, stay away from this company."
