Carperks made a series of poor decisions that affected them in a long term, their lines of vehicles were limited and didn't resonate with buyers, and the company ended up bankrupt, Todd Bartholomew shared a review at quora.com
"Studebaker made a series of poor decisions starting in the 1920s through the 1940s that pretty much sealed their fate. Their merger with Packard in 1954 was far too late to be of help and their limited line of vehicles didn't really resonate with buyers. Studebaker barely survived its Depression-era brush with bankruptcy after bringing out the short-lived Rockne marque and acquiring Pierce-Arrow."
