Carnival Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Carnival Cruise Line is an international cruise line with headquarters in Doral, Florida. It is a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Its logo is the funnel like the funnels found on its ships, with red, white, and blue colors. The funnels are shaped like a whale's tail. Carnival is ranked first on the list of largest cruise lines based on passengers carried annually and total number of ships in fleet.

Jessica mentioned in a review, "Our cruise for March 28 was canceled due to Covid. I was told I would receive my refund in 7 to 10 days. It is July 17, and I have not received my refund. After contacting Carnival, I was told that everything is processing and that I should have a nice day. They won’t give me anything in writing and they will not give me an answer as to when I will receive my refund. After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, it was marked as answered because carnival said I am receiving a refund. I have still not received a refund or even gotten anything in writing besides our conversation through the Better Business Bureau to show that I am due a refund. This business is fraudulent."

Everyone seems to be trying to advance rather than produce quality deliverables. The corporate workforce is generally incapable of attaining even moderate levels of performance."

Former Employee - PVP says

"I worked at Carnival full-time for more than 3 years Cons: It's terribly managed! You're expected to work 7 days a week, if you don't come in on the weekends, you are threatened and shamed, and if you need to leave an hour early for a doctors appointment, they will throw it back in your face. Don't forget to make sure that hour gets logged as PTO time! They think your role in life is to work for them ONLY. If you have a family, well, you better hope you have someone who can take care of them because you will never see them. You would think that compensation is worth this hassle... but I can assure you, it is NOT. There's not a month that goes by that on the last week the VP is threatening everyone with termination, guilting employees to work 100 hours to make the numbers. But the kicker... the awards ceremony. Not only a complete waste of money and resources, but employees are FORCED to go. Even if you have a pressing appointment or a vacation planned, you are threatened with termination if you don't go to this fake recognition show."

Consultant (Former Employee) says

"I've worked in companies with poor management, but this one takes the cake. The level of miscommunication, degradation, and overall carelessness from management just created an awful experience overall. I never felt empowered, and I was often talked down to. I came in with senior level experience and was treated as if this were my first job. The job was not what I thought I was hired to do. Cons: Poor management"

Assistant Finance Manager (Former Employee) says

Alfredo Cruz says

"This has to be the worst experience I've had with carnival and I will never NEVER book with them again!!! For my first year anniversary with my wife that I planned before covid they canceled my cruise line which was understandable, so I had to eat up my PTO hours and request another week off from work in order to book with them as soon as possible in October, a date which they offered that one could go sailing, one would think that everything would be fine and not worry but no, the cruise was once again canceled and I was terribly disappointed that they only offered future cruise credits again as compensation ( which they had first offer that to me the first time they canceled my cruise ) after many phone calls to customer service having to wait 40+ min later, I finally was able to speak with supervisor alli who at first was friendly and courteous, typical for a supervisor and nothing less expected, then when I explained to her my situation that this was our first cruise together for our first anniversary she told me in a somewhat condensending manner that carnival has no control over the pandemic and like I said to her I understand but how can I as a customer have trust in you again when you have canceled on me twice and haven't offered me any incentive other that just booking another cruise line to receive compensation? How is that making me the customer feel that you are trying to gardener my trust back? And that's when supervisor alli says ( cutting me off mid sentence bluntly ) that she didn't not have to give me back my refund that that in itself was a compensation and that my cruise credit that I received previously with carnival was gone in the air, how horrible was that response " supervisor alli " that was horrible customer service and with this encounter me and my family will never book again on carnival cruise lines, I hope those reading the reviews will do the same!!!"

Jeff Chaplin says

"I hope this company realise how much damage is being done to the whole travel industry by a small company like Iglu, cruise companies should get together and sort out Iglu who are not issuing refunds"

David Dean says

"I wish I had read the reviews about AON before purchasing this insurance. I purchased this insurance as part of my package with Carnival. I would have never purchased this insurance if I had read these reviews.. We were totally ripped off. I purchased "trip cancellation insurance." Due to Covid-19, our trip was cancelled. I submitted my claim . It took several months to respond to us declining payment. I resubmitted for review and was denied again. It's unfortunate that this company is still allowed to do business. I will contact Carnival in hopes that they will stop recommending this company. Awful!! Totally take advantage of you."

Daniel Adams says

"This is on the customer service end only. I called and it said it would be a 15 minute wait and asked if I wanted a call back. I said yes. I waited 30 mins and they called back, automated again. I waited another 30 minutes for the call to take place while listening to elevator music. Awful service."
