CMT is a Canadian specialty channel owned as a joint venture between Corus Entertainment (which owns a controlling 90% interest) and ViacomCBS (which owns the remaining 10%), owners of the flagship CMT channel in the United States. As with its American counterpart, CMT previously devoted a large amount of its programming to country music, with such programming as music videos and concert specials. Over time, the channel shifted its focus towards family-oriented general entertainment, to the point where music programming was eventually axed in August 2017. It is one of two ViacomCBS-branded channels that are owned by Corus; the companies also partner on Nickelodeon.

"To be a Computer Monitor Technician was not hard. The job itself was not hard. It was the people you worked for and around making the environment way too worse for some strange anonymous reason."

"Cmt, es una empresa que paga el salario minimo, y dice contar con todas las prestaciones de ley, siendo esto una verdad a medias, ya que el servicio del imss en ocasiones es removido, es decir si a la empresa no le conviene pagar incapacidad buscara la forma de no pagarla al trabajador; siguiendo con el punto salarial, se supone cada trabajador sindicalizado cuenta con dos bonos, de puntualidad y asistencia, pero esros son quitados por algun retardo, o si se pide un permiso para faltar por 30 minutos, te descuentan el dia y los bonos, como empleado de confianza las cosas no van mejor, el salario es bastante malo para alguien que se preparo academicamente, este no supera los 1,500 semanales, ademas se trabajan horas extras y estas no se pagan, es en muchos sentidos explotacion laboral. Cons: Demasiados, dueño corrupto, personal poco calificado en puestos que requieren a profesionales, salario, trato al personal, en pocas palabras juegan con la necesidad del personal."

"you need a cell phone to punch in, client told them i was on phone to many times, the app does not work all the time updates everyday. same mops for bathrooms and hallways. supervisor does NOT communicate . equipment poor, pay is poor, i think to my self ,this company is new to the game, i looked it up and i was right . Cons: all around zero stars, communication is number one, not hear"

Promotions/advancement few and far between if you are very good at your current job; Promotions only used as an employee retention tactic and are generally nothing more than a more impressive title and additional compensation. Work week for "commissioned" employees is 47+ hours without overtime or scheduled breaks and no paid holidays Cons: Lack of vision, not consistent with treatment of employees, Counter-productive management, lack of benefits, very little recognition for stellar performance, attendance, or time with the company"

"A typical day at work was very demanding new customers ,isir's,ppaps Coworkers were awesome they did there jobs to the very best of there abilities which made my job as the quality supervisor very easy . "I loved the job I was doing lerned alot picked up alot..Its hard work when delivering certain styles u really have to know the pros and cons of handeling making certain types of styles of garments/clothing very important to take note in detail of clothing samples sometimes very easy on the eye but not as to making the garment itself seen alot..Dresses is the hard part to making..Cant believe the dress I was part of in production taken up alot of operations could take up long hours n days to make in time of period. Management was still young to grasp the aspect of the business due to the fact that it was still a new and upcoming business which as 1 knows alot of chaotic outcomes very unorganised still having to learned alot in the business field workers wasnt at best of times team players company was very destingtive in their reliable workers in production front..And dealing with clients its was very still raw to appreciate the best work decision wen dealing with clients and employer contracts as to the benefit of its company and its workers itself..Very dissapointed in the fact that sometimes (happened alot)had to go home without any compensation...:(:(:( But wot I loved most of the business is that theres great oppertunity to working oneselve up in the business lots of oppertunities to see wot your made of as to wot ive seen and heard.. "I worked at CMT full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Absolutely no accountability for HR, and they will throw you under the bus for anything and everything. You are not valued as a person, they just look at you as a number. They have HIGH amounts of turnover, no leadership (literally nobody running the place since they were all let go), constant layoffs due to saving money, and they will fire you and replace you with freelance in a heartbeat. There is no room for growth, and they often promote the people that don’t actually work. Don’t even think about working hard, because it’s a waste of time when everyone else gets recognition and praise. There is NO direction. No plan. No marketing. No creative teams. Unhappy staff, with extremely low morale and yet when the NY team comes down to try and rally, it’s all a bunch of smoke and mirrors."

"I worked at CMT full-time Cons: Low pay. Departments can be very cliquey. Opportunities are limited, promotion from within is dependent on the manager of your department, so if you are trying to move to a department they don't like, you wont make it there. Also don't let anyone know if you are interested in moving around to different departments, its not looked at in a positive light. Poor pay and difficulty moving up creates somewhat hostile/jealous work environment. HR not very helpful at resolving problems."
