Black Horse Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Black Horse Limited is the United Kingdom’s leading provider of motor finance. It was formed in July 2001, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group, but its origins can be traced back to 1922. The company helps over 200,000 customers every year to finance new and used cars, caravans, motorhomes, or motorbikes through their network of over 5,000 dealers.

Black Horse doesn't help their customers in need and customer service is nowhere to be found, DarianHeath155 claims at reviewcentre.com

"I gave 1 star because otherwise, you can't leave a review, you are the most unscrupulous company I have had to deal within the last 3 days. I have lost my income and probably going to lose my business come to the end of this so you will end up with nothing. £67.00 interest to defer payment by 28 days and informed via the web form you can only do this once every 12 months. And then to be told to ring if you need help, I waited over 2 hours and you still did not answer, Your web site states you are here to help, Yes help yourselves, a real caring company, whilst virtually the rest of the country are in financial crisis BLACKHORSE decide this is a way of making money out the people who most need help."

Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says

"They will tell you anything to get you in the door and it is all lies. It is a local home daily job but you will work 12+ hours daily before you get home. If you want a local job that has worse family time than OTR go for it. They will make all kinds of broken promises. This job listing constantly comes up and goes available because turnover is rate is high. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DONT FALL FOR THE LIES . Cons: Constant lies about everything."

Truck Driver (Former Employee) says

"Working here is OK at best. If you get good loads then its an ok job. Dealing with management is the nightmare you have to worry about. You will get random texts (while you are sleeping) from your terminal manager accusing you of things you didn't do. Drivecam in the trucks so if you are slightly speeding or following to close in Chicago traffic, the TM will have a write up waiting for you when you come to work. They advertise high pay but its just a lure to get you in the door. Notice the super LOW rating? Cons: Terminal Manager, Unloading/Loading trucks, Garbage equipment. Turnover rate is like 150%"

"Who wants to work for a boss that changes and applies the rules in daily basis just so it can comfort their position.Who wants to work for a boss that says you are doing good but when it comes time for raises you are not good.Who wants to work for a boss that makes employees work on a hot summer with a blow hot air in their face.Who wants to work for a boss that does not like spending a dime for the good of the employees like ps .a cleaning machine or couple new brooms and dust pans since we are dock workers that has tondo cleaning up in daily basis ,since the boss dont like spending money on cleaning staff to be here daily basis.I can go more but I belive I told you enough about it.And if thats not enough for you...Than go try it for your self."

Truck Driver (Former Employee) says

"No set schedule, no set hours, if you ask questions your immediately on the $h!@ list. Everyone that's been there for awhile keeps to there self and everyone new get treated like a disease."

Class a driver shuttle /jockey (Former Employee) says

"Lie about 401k match time off maxed out at 2 weeks and management only looks at you as steering wheel holders pay is good but not for advancement opportunities better jobs out there to be honest"

Truck Driver (Current Employee) says

"They tell you that you can't get disciplined for camera going off in truck, than turn around and fire you. They tell you ,you can talk on Bluetooth than hold that against you. They like to mess with your pay every week and not pay you right amount hoping you don't catch it. NO and I mean NO pay raises' Take safety bonus away ' was 250.00 a quarter now 200.00 minus what ever they want to deduct. It takes 1.5 months to receive after quarter is over. Don't give you your 401 money you earned until March the following year"

Assistant Terminal Manager (Former Employee) says

"If your not family you don't matter, and neither does your family. Typical corporate america. Give them everything and you mean nothing. The entire staff at this location has nothing good to say. They all spend their time looking for different jobs then just doing their own."

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) says

"I thought this company would be a great place to work, but I was wrong. They do not offer vacation days until after being employed for one year. They do not offer sick days or personal days to their employees. If you miss work due to having an illness, they will still give you a point on their point system even if you provide a doctor's excuse. They do not offer any type of raises and, whenever we receive a good score with the customer's, management just offers to buy lunch (pizza) as a thank you. Cons: No sick days, paid for certain holidays, no time and half if you work on a holiday, management does not respect the employees and they do not know how to manage a company"

Loader (Former Employee) says

"HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! This place is as unprofessional as it gets. They take serious matters as a joke and it is ridiculous. They do not care about their employees at all. This place is as far as it gets from a safe work environment. I don’t even understand how it is completely legal honestly but that’s all I’m going to say. Cons: mostly everything"

Former Employee - Class A Truck Driver says

"I worked at Black Horse Carriers full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Very disorganized system , favoritisms very rampant , nepotism is a common theme , no diversity in management all the way up to corporate, driver has no rights unless you buddies up with managers ."

Former Employee - Class A Truck Driver says

"I worked at Black Horse Carriers full-time for less than a year Cons: Radio ad said starting at $80k. Typical trucking industry lie. Maybe, MAYBE $60-65k. The golden children will get all the cake work. Constantly, set up for failure. Then, everyone acts surprised when you fail. Trucking 101, it is ALWAYS the driver's fault. Hours are horrible. You will never have a weekend off. It's not allowed. You will work most holidays. If you take pride in your work, don't bother. They're not interested in that. They love full speed, shoddy work only. Full fleet of brand new, automatic garbage because they can't keep good/skilled drivers. The days/ hours are horrible The work life balance is absolutely zero The money is mediocre, especially for having zero life. Too many supervisors and they all interpret the rules differently. The customer is a nightmare. Paychecks are always screwed up."

Current Employee - Truck Driver says

"I have been working at Black Horse Carriers full-time Cons: Been with the company multiple years. In June we got a new terminal manager and he went on a hiring spree. New employees now take precedence over veterans of the job, pay dropped from high 90's a year to mid 60's. Unexpectable."
