A former Clinical Account Specialist-Ultrasound shared in a review "During the over 8 years that I worked at Biosense Webster, Inc. I saw the corporate culture and employee moral deteriorate. But the pay is exceptional and the employees are top notch. Leadership is just lacking. They have a new CEO and hopefully it will return to the great company it once was."

Former Employee - Engineer says

"Management's main concerns are maintaining their double digit growth and hitting their Goals and Objectives. They keep on pushing half baked ideas and demand that deadlines are met when the product isn't ready. Management also gives no recognition for hard work and constantly emotes negativity to their departments. With regards to engineering, nothing innovative is ever pushed. BWI is still developing technology that was designed in the 1960's. The catheters are really basic and there is no challenge. Most of the new catheter designs are based off of the competitor's designs from years prior. The biggest challenge at BWI is dealing with personalities. Senior management promotes an internal competitive nature. Each department within BWI is competing with another. It makes for an extremely inefficient and negative work environment and collaboration is almost impossible."

"1. Below-standard office facilities and culture 2. Executive management does not care for employees, treating them as numbers and tools and trying to overwork them for business growth. 3. Rushed, no planning, and fire-fighting culture with middle management constantly in a panic mode and a "just do something - anything" attitude when there is an issue to keep their jobs. 4. In just 6-7 years this place has gone from a slightly above average work environment to one that is well below average with many people who were fed up and left. 5. While business is growing significantly every year, people are getting treated worse and worse with more and more niceties (such as summer amusement park party and Christmas party) stripped away piece by piece every year. 6. Trying to hire more and more inexperienced people or people from Mexico and give them lowball job offers to reduce costs. 7. Promotion is based on popularity and favoritism instead of skills and experience. There is no standard for job promotions. 8. Executives are lot more concerned with their bonuses than people"

"OMG this place is the worst experience I have in a 30 year career and I have been an Army Officer (in a War), worked on Wall Street, Hollywood and Third World Countries The people I worked with (if you could call it that) were the most mean spirited bullies I have ever experienced. After one meeting (I am not kidding) they went to my boss’s boss and "we don’t want to work with him" ....I had been there a matter of weeks Now if I done that in any job in my career I would have been fired on the spot (or sooner). Not being able to work with those 2 girls prevented me for doing my job. My management in IT did nothing just ignored it.....I begged to have HR deal with this... they wouldn’t, Then they brought me in and said, I kid you not "you are not much value if you can’t work with these 2 girls"! No HR involvement for 3 the interim I was selected for a "SPECIAL CREDO" results private ... survey... JnP employees according to the mantra ... are supposed to live and die by this 100 year old document ...kind of like the company constitution. ...right I explained on survey that I thought JnJ was great company and great products and public opinion, but the CREDO must be for someone else certainly not me. I said it does not apply to a 60 year, old disabled veteran ....they must have excluded that section This is ironic since the CEO . is a former Army Officer like myself and I know this company has massive contracts with the Veterans Admin Hospitals and JnJ has gigantic contracts with the military I sent a copy to HR so they would have a heads-up because I thought this "CREDO" survey response would elicit a reaction......NOTHING ...not a word. HR talked to me once finally then a day or two later they brought me in and fired me for being "Threatening..." I asked how so? I had had no contact with anybody... I can’t make this up it was like in the McCarty hearings they said "we have evidence of threating behavior" here in our briefcase I asked to see it and just like good ole Joe McCarthy they refused Complete insanity ...Good part ...It made me become a Veteran's advocate to call attention to this type behavior and call attention to companies that make millions of us Disabled Vets and then treat them poorly"

"Clinical R&D is viewed by upper management as little more than a necessary evil and staffing is woefully inadequate. Biosense Webster could easily triple their R&D staffing (clinical research associates, SAS programmers, biostatisticians, data managers, regulatory affairs managers) and still not have enough people to get all the work done. Employees routinely work 80 or more hours a week."

"Highly unethical Managers in control of different departments. This place is a few good audits away from being shut down. A lot of things are being hidden under the rug. Culture here is negative, strictly political. They would rather promote people that brown nose versus the ones who actually work hard. High turnover rate. Stay away from the Technical Service Department. By far the worst department to work for. 99.9 % of the Managers have no clue whats going on and like to point fingers. "Unless you're of a certain background/culture at BWI, don't look for a promotion any time soon. Management often doesn't know what they're doing, having no HR presence onsite makes it impossible to report anything. The bad seeds don't get reprimanded or fired, issues get swept under the carpet and stay there. You pretty much get fed up and move on. Good/hardworking employees flee from there like crazy lately, yet, eyes are not being opened to that fact from upper management. They say it's part of any large company."

"This was my first job coming out of high school good opportunity to learn about distribution logistics. I've since been with the company for 14 years since 2006. The manager that hired me had retired like 4 years ago and the new management that has been placed has nothing but unprofessional and biased. There's a lot of favoritism going on with the individuals that were brought into the department i work for. This management has made claims that we had not been doing our job correctly based on the operating procedures. Me along with the hired on coworkers are being let go sometime in 2020 because our job position is in transition of being obsolete. I learned a lot from the people who mentored me who I worked and trained with for many years without the trivial shinanigans that the new management preceives."

"Great place if you want to coast on a good salary with minimal demand on all skills except for brown nosing. Huge percentage of contract workers even in highly technical positions. Management tends to hire from within their social or worship circles without concern for qualifications."

"Sucks. My blood ketone readings were ranging from 1.0 to 2.2, and Biosense readings were zero, thats 0. I sent in a complaint and they had me do a test using mouthwash, which gave reading of 14. They said based on that the meter was working properly. No further help was provided. I purchased the meter hoping to save money on test strips but ended wasting money on a piece of junk."
