The Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is an American global food processing and commodities trading corporation, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company operates more than 270 plants and 420 crop procurement facilities worldwide, where cereal grains and oilseeds are processed into products used in food, beverage, nutraceutical, industrial, and animal feed markets worldwide.

It was named the world's most-admired food-production company by Fortune magazine for three consecutive years: 2009, 2010, and 2011. ADM ranked No. 49 in the 2019 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations (which was based on 2018 total revenue).

The company also provides agricultural storage and transportation services. The American River Transportation Company along with ADM Trucking, Inc. are subsidiaries of ADM.

An irritated employee in an anonymous interview bemoaned on the ills of the company, he said" Management is horrible and will do anything to justify their job, all they care about is production. The culture turned to garbage when they think they can track a bunch of bs with a marker. They don't care about their employees at all and no matter what you do is never enough for them.

"Uma má gestão de pessoas."

"Pouca perspectiva de crescimento: por falta de um plano de sucessão e de um plano de desenvolvimento, os funcionários ficam estagnados. Aliado a esse problema, o baixo nível de cobrança permite que muitas pessoas fiquem acomodadas em suas funções diárias. Não há uma cultura sólida de feedback frequente, limitando-se às revisões de metas. Avaliação de metas e PPR: a diferença de premiação para funcionários que não batem as metas e os que as excedem é muito baixa, também incentivando a acomodação de muitos colaboradores."

"Remuneração muito aquem do mercado, no ultimo meses passou por uma demissão em massa que ocasionou pessimo ambiente organizacional alem de ter reduzido quase por completo setores imprescindiveis como qualidade, segurança, meio ambiente, projetos. Refeitorio horrivel, auxilio alimentação ridiculo e agora ainda por cima retiraram o onibus fretado (a empresa fica a 40 km do centro e nao circula onibus municipal nesta area). politicas de compliance são piada. ambiente misógino, e preconceituoso. "Empresa não presta solidariedade para com funcionários que adoecem e precisam ser afastado de suas atividades no trabalho. Passei por uma cirurgia e acabei descobrindo que sofria de uma doença rara, a mesma se agravou devido a cirurgia. Já tem quase um ano de meu afastamento e até o momento nunca recebi sequer uma ligação da empresa para querer saber se eu estou viva ou morta. Isso é muito desmotivador, pois sempre dei tudo que podia pelo meu trabalho, are mesmo ficar 1 mês sem ver meus filhos que ficavam cerca de 75 km longe de mim, pois eu ficava no alojamento da empresa. "They will train you but the first time you mess up the will fire you no exceptions they will hire you on but I was there for 9 months and they never gave me benifits and the management was always look down on you and treated you like garbage"

"Do not work here. I worked her for sixth months and quit. I was working 6-7 days a week, there was constant bickering and blame game. The men there were usually sleazy and i walked in on one of them in a compromising position with a lab tech. drama, gossip, grossovertimeeverything else"

"One employee thinks he runs the place and bullies management and other employees. Don't bother to go to HR because they do nothing. To call people "crack head and stupid" by an operator is just what they let some people get away with. They force you to work over time, work around the crane in lightning storms and 45 mph winds. They won't promote you unless you kiss butt or bully management. DO NOT APPLY!!!!"

"This Has to be THE WORST JOB I have Ever Had. at the most Dinosaur Facility in ADM History . With the Worst Management I have ever Seen. Lost 9 people just on my Shift in the first 2 months. Everyone I talk to HATES to work there. They lie about your Hours, and then your told to just COMPLY. Dirty Environment. With deplorable conditions. Especially in the vitamin room on the 3rd floor and the cutting in floor. Shift leads are just puppets . Everyone is ready to quit, All the time."

"Good paying company if all you want to do is work every day of your life. Management gets bonuses and weekends off while everyone else works 13 days on 1 day off. *mandatory* Dont listen in the interview that its volunteer based. The Human Resources department doesnt exist for the worker here either. Overall, good paying job and pension but you will have zero life outside of work.Good payZero work life balance"

"I worked for ADM as Laborer in Byproducts and it was nothing but downhill. Working there for long shifts your basically living in there and it pulls you away from spending time with your family, They give you points for having emergency problems outside of work, you have to basically die for them to somewhat care a little there cause they don’t care about there coworkers at all, The management sucks, and have too many supervisors thinking there bosses and doesn’t know their roles. Now There were some cool coworkers, but the older ones were the worst cause all they do is whine and hate change! The only good thing they have are benefits and good pay, other then that it’s not somewhere you dont want to further your career withBenefits and PayShort breaks, long shifts"

"During my time there I worked in the 'mill', shift supervisors were vindictive and overly concerned with their 'numbers'; quit when it became clear there would never be any real future there as far as getting a decent 'bid', also I understand that at this time(2-28-19) there are contractors cleaning out one of the crude oil tanks, during their breaks they like to smoke pot, which might be considered a real safety hazard, glad I quitat the time, better than nothingUnless you are a 'company' employee, you are just nothing to them"

"Be aware of the low self esteem folks ( blue hats or ADM employees) as they will tell lies on others as they have very limited knowledge. Management is even worse as I would classify their knowledge level equivalent to that of a poultry processing plant reject. After all this facility is a food manufacturing plant. If you want employment whereas you get treated like an idiot everyday, this is the place for you... The person writing this review is 50 years old with over 25 years industrial and management experience. By the way, I was just recently hired into management by one of their competitors for a lot more money! Good Luck Lori and Tara...In conclusion the folks at ADM need to understand there is absolutely ADM has that I need!absolutely noneabsolutley everthing"

"look at the pay scale average for this company , that should cause you pause. The company safety slogan is zero is possible, more accurate would be zero is probable, as anything that might happen to an employee at the workplace will be blamed on the effected employee 100% of the time regardless of any circumstance. Management has zero accountability , I worked there for 23 years before I finally got fed up , it was not hard to find another job that could beat what they offered. There are many good hard working employees who work there mainly on the hourly side they deserve better. On the salary side this is where the fat needs to be cut, most make very little or no contribution during any given work day. ADM is a 10 billion dollar per year company. After three consecutive years of record profits ADM rewarded its employees with a $300 reward , that was the equivalent to about 1 cent for each hour worked worked for the hourly employees during the three years of record profits. Do your self a favor and keep looking you can do better.very few they do offer a pension it is not much but at least one is offered.Management, low pay poor benefit package"

"The best thing that ever happened to me was getting laid off from this company. It is the most political, cut-throat company that I have ever worked for. My Manager barely said 100 words to me in 2 1/2 years and was not even in my location. Worst manager I have ever had. I would recommend that you not work there.not many that I can think - glad I had a jobbut that is about it - on site cafeteria?Management, Hours, no recognition for a good job."
