Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has been involved with a number of ethical and environmental disasters in the past. The comapny had a part to play in the worst ever environmental disaster, the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster, which had methanse and other chemical dispersant bieng suked into the main ocean currents carrying the pollutabts into the Atlantic ocean and beyond. The company is also known for hiring under-qualified and inappropriate qualified project managers. The total neglect for the environment officially became the worst environmental disaster in North America, eclipsing the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska in 1989 and the Ixtoc I rig blowout in 1979 that has also pollusted the Gufl of Mexico until now. Anadarko Petroleum Corporation is the worst place to work as stated by a former employee in an interview. "Management is embarrassing my first boss got fired for refusing a drug test. We had a guy quit but since he was friends with a boss there he got rehired as our foremen. Rehired three positions higher than when he QUIT! One boss was so drunk all the time they transferred him to another location" he said.

"I worked for Anadarko almost three years ago and I still have a sting when I think of the way I was treated there. Managers let people run rampant with their territorial behavior, huge lack of collaboration, lack of transparency. I would not go back to work there if they tripled my salary.Flex hours, 4/80 scheduleWorkplace Culture"

senior inspector (Former Employee) says

"Very poorly run. Cut corners on safety. Supervisors were not of a high caliber. I would not recommend working for them., They took a pleasant job and turned it into a nightmare.nonlousy management"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Politics abound. Too much inbreeding (promoting from within, regardless of skill or talent). Doesn't seem like managers or supervisors are trained by HR in anything, or if they, are they are not being assessed for competency. Decisions being made are to benefit the old boy network, over safety or getting the job done right. Core values have no meaning anymore."

"Not a company I would work for again. They do not treat females the same as males. They are not fair in how the distribute bonuses. I am not sure why I have to say anything to move on ."
