Amc Cinemas Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
AMC Theatres (originally an abbreviation for American Multi-Cinema; often referred to simply as AMC and known in some countries as AMC Cinemas or AMC Multi-Cinemas) is an American movie theater chain headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, and the largest movie theater chain in the world. Founded in 1920, AMC has the largest share of the U.S. theater market ahead of Cineworld and Cinemark Theatres.
After acquiring Odeon Cinemas, UCI Cinemas, and Carmike Cinemas in 2016, it became the largest movie theater chain in both the world and the United States. It has 2,200 screens in 244 theatres in Europe and over 8,200 screens in 661 theatres in the United States of America.
On the most populated social media platform, Facebook, a sad customer wrote " AMC is banning universal pictures from their theaters in response to Universal releasing Trolls World Tour on Demad during the coronavirus epidemic. This is a sad and pathetic response by AMC. Children were able to assume some sort of normalness while being on lockdown and AMC is trying to punish Universal for that. Is it because AMC is afraid that digital releases will soon replace the theater experience. Probably. I know they lost my business over this selfish decision."
Crew member (Former Employee) says"Really boring job. Not allowed to talk to your colleagues, while it was quiet. Managers were racist and kept picking on (not only) me. I was there for a couple of months and it was the worst job I've had; thanks to all the managers and their approach towards the crew."
Ticket and Concession Sales/Janitor/Projectionist (Current Employee) says"It is your standard big corporation job where you are treated like a number and the higher ups just see you and your fellow coworkers as a bunch of lemmings that can be easily replaced. They will cut any corner they can just to make a profit. Dosn't matter if you have a emergency you are going to have to work anyway unless you can get someone to cover you. Cons: AMC does not care about you. No raises ever unless you are promoted. Will not promote from within."
Supervisor (Current Employee) says"Long breaks in the back, Slow business, Nothing to do. Great first job. Easy to move up if willing and has experience. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a job. Cons: Slow business"
Film Crew (Current Employee) says"The job is pretty easy, clean theaters, sell popcorn, assist guests. The people, including management and staff, are very relaxed and it is a comfortable place to work. However, every week hours are all over the place, one week might be 16 and the next 32 hours. The shifts are always at different times, you may work 4-11:30 one night then open the next morning at 9. There is almost no room for promotion (there are 4 management positions and 3 supervisors, if they don't quit you can't apply for the jobs) and no increase in wages offered (my last work review was max score and I received a "good job")"
Film Crew (Current Employee) says"Great managers and ample opportunity for advancement. Fun hardworking people. Everyone is like family. Pay not so great."
Ashely Childers says"Regal cinemas app are crooks!!! Do not sign up for this!!! I signed up and not only have they charged my card multiple times but they also refuse to issue me a refund AND refuse to cancel my account. These people arefucking crooks!!!! Yoor Vision says"Regal Cinemas is one of the worst customer oriented companies out there I signed up for the Regal Cinema app to have the free movies with the $21 charge taking out monthly I put my credit card information in and the screen saying do you approve the $21 charge I was charged $21 5 times unknowingly to my bank account called customer service and they told me they could not refund my money ask to speak to a supervisor they told me they could not refund my money all in all customer service was horrible misleading and untruthful they stole $172 from me on top of not assisting with the refund do not use Regal Cinemas service they are not friendly customer oriented and care nothing about the subscriber on top of that I spoke to several managers who stated do what you want but we are not going to refund any monies back to you regardless so I took it upon myself to contact my bank and block the charges don't be fooled by the Allure of unlimited movies because it is a trap even if you don't use the app they will charge you multiple fees regardless"
Kelly says"I'd give it zero stars if it'd let me! I went to Regal in Spokane WA. There was nobody working in the ticket box, was forced to stand in line for food and drinks to check in with my previous ordered tickets. Once we get to the front of the line we were told we didn't need to wait in line we could just go to our movie. The movie was supposed to be 2 hours and five minutes, so we made plans and the movie didn't even start until 6PM 40 MINUTES OF PREVIEWS before our movie started. Needless to say we had to go a half hour early to pick up my child and didn't even get to see what we paid $30 to see. BS!"
Matt Gibbons says"Their app lost my regal gift card and the customer service to fix it was horrible. Complete don't trust them."
