AmazonFresh Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Amazon Fresh is a subsidiary of the American e-commerce company in Seattle, Washington. It is a grocery delivery service currently available in most major U.S. cities, Berlin (including Potsdam), Hamburg, London, Munich, Tokyo and India.

Bob Egelko wrote for San Francisco Chronicle, here is part of the piece:

Amazon Fresh workers’ uniforms, workplaces not sanitized properly, suit says

Amazon, the nation’s second-largest employer, says the safety of its 840,000 workers during the coronavirus pandemic is its first priority. But a new lawsuit in San Francisco says the technology giant does little to sanitize the workplaces or clean the uniforms of employees who work on grocery orders at Amazon’s food-delivery outlet.

The pickers who fill and prepare orders for Amazon Fresh wear full-body freezer suits to protect them from low refrigerator temperatures and then simply hang them on a rack for the next worker without any sanitizing, a San Francisco employee said in a suit filed Thursday in Superior Court. It said there were no baskets for dirty suits or logs indicating when a suit was last cleaned.

Bernadette C. from New York, NY shared "I have ordered from Amazon fresh once or twice in the past when it first started without problems and it was good but i found that they didn't have my selection of items in stock so i stopped ordering. Now that it has been around for years, you would think it would get better. While the selection has gotten better, delivery has not. My delivery was supposed to come between 12 and 2. I got an email that it was delivered at 11 am. No one rang my bell to tell me it was there and it was left outside in the sun. As you can imagine, some of it was ruined and when i complained to amazon about this they said that i need to leave instructions for someone to ring my bell. If i have to tell you ring my bell so you don't leave my groceries in the sun in 90 degree weather, outside where it can get stolen, then there is something wrong with you! Be careful!"

AngellaL says

"In LA, high risk for Covid so my household has to have groceries delivered. We have tried Amazon Fresh 3 times now and each time we didn\'t receive a significant portion of items we ordered or they were unavailable to begin with. There\'s no celery in Los Angeles??? Really??? One time they went ahead and substituted bananas for the berries I ordered. I\'m allergic to bananas! Waste of time and money."

a says

"THEY NEVER HAVE DELIVERY SLOTS. they say free 2 hour delivery on the ads but delivery prices go up to $10. there is usually never any free delivery and no they don’t deliver 2 hours within placing your order. the drivers are rude and my groceries got left in the pouring rain twice 2 hours late!"

RB says

"It's truly unbelievable, they discriminate against you if you return or order too often-I had situations with melted frozen dairy goods-unacceptable; they refund the money, but now when trying to order they say no delivery windows in the next 3 days-we are PRIME-the contract takes our money every month, then breaches itself constantly in these ways, and worse with Prime Video-as service that is supposed to be included, except that certain free shows are now FULL pay-like 3.00 per episode-so during the worst time in human history, this is Amazon's answer to the issues at hand, mess with everyone, and, if you don't like it, they shut you off-seems too me they must be aligned with other reviews on here I have posted; illicit and constantly in breach- simple caveat for them, if you advertise, and charge for the service; you must comply with what you advertise-they DO NOT-far from it-despite their great showing when they were up and coming, these days they never fail to disappoint..."

Mauricio Chinchilla says

"Almost all products are extremely high price at 50% and more. Better options with are wallmart express delivery same day. Another big issue is that products availability are mixed between other stores of the same conglomerate group of Amazon, so it's hard to get everything you need from Amazon Fresh at the same time. I am reediming a Amazon gift card and when finish I will cancel amazon prime."

Candace Carlisle McCarthy says

"I have never been so furious in my life. After placing my order days ago... in prep for all the Coronavirus chaos... it was cancelled because my account default to the stupid amazon card I agreed to get that has a cap that if there wasn't a cap I would load with way more than $100. So when I added an item to my order it canceled the entire thing. There is no way too reorder and it doesn't default to my actual credit card. I was passed around for well over an hour... with the same questions and no results. Just to be told they couldn't do anything for me but offered me a discount on items I can't order or reorder. Now everything is out because of the of the CoronaVirus. I will never use Amazon Fresh again. What an awful experience and serious waste of time."

Laura says

"I’ve used Amazon fresh since covid started. It was great for the first 6 months but has really gone downhill.A lot of items have gone up in price the past couple months or not available.Ive used ebt lately and I noticed the other day when making an order I can’t buy ground beef. Why?My biggest issue is the shoppers.Go find another job if you don’t like doing this one.I had bagels sent to me the other day that were clearly ripped apart on purpose and could tell they were dropped on the ground in dirt.Thats what was sent to me.That shopper purposely put that in the bag.I hope they got fired because I damn sure said something.A couple days later I had to use it again.Rotten fruit that anybody could clearly see was rotten was sent to me.Also these cheap paper bags suck.Everytime I get my order lately the bags have torn apart and I have to rebag my stuff to carry it up to the 3rd floor.Im done with Fresh. You lost a loyal customer"

Aly says

"I used to love Amazon Fresh. I love being able to track my groceries and also have free delivery because of my Prime membership. However, over the last 8 months of me using them, it seems they've started to go downhill. Most of the time, I'm sent items nearing the end of their shelf life. There are other times where I'm sent items as a replacement for what they were out of stock of. I would've preferred to be told that it was out of stock as opposed to being sent something that I don't potentially like. Another thing they could work on is the delivery drivers following instructions especially during this pandemic. I make sure to leave clear instructions on where to leave the groceries and I still receive calls of confusion and wanting me to come down to them. I do like how they pack their groceries, though. Perishables are always with other perishables. The packaging always makes sense. However, they don't pack the perishables how they used to. There used to be an ice pack or a frozen water bottle (according to other reviews) packed with your perishables to keep them cool. Now, I've seen different packaging since then. They either: put it in a bag and leave it as is, put it in an insulated bag that resembles an envelope (best one so far), or put it in brown paper bags with some sort of lining that rips apart and sticks to your cold items. If they could fix the previously mentioned issues, they'd get 5 stars for sure."

Jesse says

"Try buying a gallon of milk. Inventory is terrible on dairy, meat and other products that you may try, then discover \"out of stock\" the next time. I bought Amazon Prime for Fresh grocery delivery on food staples. The inventory sucks."
