The company employs roughly 450 workers and ships to 41 countries. It is said to be the home of "the world's best gummy bears."

"This place is an absolute nightmare. For being a business started in Lake County they should do better to employees. The owners I have heard are nice, yet the management is horrible. The owners daughters love explaining how great the business is doing. Yet, they offer no incentives to employees. They take advantage of the workers who do so much. They offer higher positions for barely any more salary. They seemed to have started in such a great way however it is not the 1980's anymore. I hope they will do better to make people enjoy work better. If they want to grow larger they will need to do better from the inside and just treat people right. Cons: Hours, Owners, Management, Work Conditions, Pay, etc. other countless cons."

"This is a terrible place to work! The HR department is ran by gossiping weirdos, management is completely aloof, everybody hates each other (behind their backs, of course. Therefore, it is not a friendly or team-oriented environment), and the main engineer seems clueless on how to troubleshoot the most elementary robots on the planet. Management is lethargic with poor leadership qualities that depend on line leads for everything, and some of them are incapable of speaking clearly! The enginuity is laughable and the engineering department is a bigger joke. Maintenance is just a team of boneheads that stand around until it's time to inefficiently fix one of the machines. The people that actually do their jobs well are treated so badly that they're on the verge of quitting. Meanwhile, those that have been there awhile are lazy morons that hate working there. Cons: Ineffective leaders, mentally weak staff, and a plethora of negativity."

"This is not a good, they are lacking communication skills, work life balance, there were little to no perks, the management team should be trained on how to effectively manage a team."

"I worked in retail for a short period of time. The employees are all really cool and easy to get along with. However, the managers and general retail manger are a joke! All they do is stand around and wait for employees to mess up so they can correct them. There is never any positive reinforcement, only negative. It is definitely not worth the stress of $9/hour! Cons: Poor management"

Maintenance Mechanic (Former Employee) says

"I was lied to from the start - paid holidays, family medical insurance, paid vacation 1 week first year 2 weeks after 3 years, raises on your reviews. Well you don't get holiday pay they do not have family insurance unless you are a single parent - I fought to get my wife on my insurance and it cost me 260.00 every 2 week pay check. vacations are prorated from Jan. to Dec. if you take vacation in June and you quit in Aug. you have to pay back the money and what vacation you don't take you lose it. If for some reason you get sick or need to take the day off they automatically deduct it from you vacation - Cons: 12 hr. days 5-6-7 days a week with only two 15 min. and half hour breaks"

"This place works people to death with bad benefits and no additional compensation - The owners are all about theme selves and the Human Resources department is a joke ( knows VERY LITTLE about how an HR department works). RUN, RUN, RUN - don’t except a job from this place you will regret it. Cons: Too MANY to list"

"I love what I do and being able to help others to learn from me. I was watched very closely by management daily and limited to achieve a professional safe environment for all employees and customers. Cons: Management not willing to take professional safety advise"

"I was taught by both my parents if you do not have anything nice to say do not say anything at all. I will say this I pray that the mindset of the HR and the Management of this company change for the good."

"They hire you in at 10 am hour when o worked there it took them a year to give me my 90 day raise that they promised and when i got it no back pay seniority doesn't mean a thing there they will hire people in amd start them off making more money also right when its time to leave they will tell you you have to stay managers are very unprofessional and they wont give you your breaks Cons: No breaks pay and bad management"

"I worked for Albanese for about 3 months. This place would be great if they had the correct management in place. The girls ( owners ) have a goldmine and the way management takes advantage of them is terrible to see. The work life balance at Albanese is less then desirable but it is balls to the wall for 12 hour shift, and lord forbid if you punch in a couple minutes later from your break or lunch. Floor supervisors need to learn about the culture of the business before going around and telling people what to do. Good management will understand the term, " Shadow of the leader". If you are given a interview please do your research and ask a lot of questions before you accept the position. Cons: Everything."

"The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that I work with. They are fun and makes the work day enjoyable.We laugh and joke,but also,at the end of the day,we get our work done. Cons: Managment"

"Your are a temp for 10 a hour. I don't no what else to say . You work 12 hours shifts and you work 60 hours. I was told that you work 48 hours nothing over wrong. Cons: 10 a hour and no health insurance"

"BEWARE ----- Very unprofessional group of management. They promise you many things to get you in the door but once you start working there everything changes. They start off with stating this is only a 40/45 hour work week but once you have been there a month or so they expect you to work at least 50 to 55 hours a week ( salary positions to) and get very mad if you don't work those type of hours. Cons: To Many To List ( Lies)"

"Their employees are extremely racist and unprofessional. They treat their employees like slaves at a labor camp with no breaks! I would never suggest working for them or shopping with them for that matter. Horrible place to work! Cons: Slave labor, racism"

"long and hard day pulling product to make candies and wrapping pallets and trying to put product away when running 2 to 4 lines at once but is manageable. Cons: not getting breaks in 8 hrs, no great benifits, pay not where it should be for doing all that work."

"I started out with orientation watching a video about harassment and encouraged by the trainer talking about all the benefits at the company was the probation period expired especially the pair of boots I purchased to be reimbursed. None of these things were of benefit. A manager approached me about a pair of pants I had wore a few times, I let him know the material wasnt sweat pant material and the next day I was fired this man reported I was hostile- which was farther from the truth. He was harassing me about pants that generated through gossip of his peer group because they are bored and meaningless- no team work applied- I tried to report him to Albanese HR but they seemed incompetent in even comprehending his blunt violent and rude lies- I was fired no questions asked - Alot of gossiping on the line- very much tension on the line because many temp agency employees want to delegate tasks when Albanese workers are around and gossiping or not being a team player Albanese staff wants to apply policy when there is no policy clause to address an employees concern- concerns and policy dont got hand in hand for Albanese- I was told to report to an employee that worked for a temp agency because the Albanese production lead was not competent in welcoming new hires and training- she seemed distracted with insecurities and ultimately was rude- Cons: Albanese doesnt believe in what they are advertising as a good work environment-"

"When I first started working there I seen people that hate there lives. Everyone’s always leaving because the hours or horrible. It would be different if the worked you 4 or 5 days a week. With the weekend. But 12 hour shifts 6 days a week with 1 off day. And they do it back to back. Because everyone leaves and there short handed. So instead of fixing the schedule . The work people that they do have like dogs while the people in the office are off on the weekends and only work eight hour shifts!! Cons: Hours, 30min break. That’s monitored very closely, Management, zero Flexibility, expectance out of one person"
