Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (Current Employee) says

"Working here is a good step into this field but would not recommend for long term employment. AATS is a good place to learn the various parts of drug counseling, both pros and cons, but is an unhealthy and toxic environment. Management and corporate do not do much to solve problems and are very lax. Clients and staff are treated as less than people in higher positions. Pay is extremely low and it is pretty much impossible to be compensated appropriately. Some staff members are rude and unprofessional without being reprimanded for their behavior. Cons: Micromanaged on every aspect of work, low pay, not treated as deserved, toxic and dramatic environment, not respected, very unprofessional with no consequences for actions."

Trainer/Supervisior (Former Employee) says

"I did enjoy teaching students and helping them learn all the aspects of high risk licences and to help where they required extra teaching to grasp the concept of the skills for the licences. Cons: The company was having financial difficulties so was retrenched."
