AECOM Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
AECOM ( ay-ee-KOM) (formerly AECOM Technology Corporation) is an American multinational engineering firm.
A former aircraft mechanic mentioned, "AECOM does not care about you getting 40 hours, they are quick to headhunt and the managers that they hired were not good people. This was a site that I could not get away from fast enough."
Job Cost Administration (Former Employee) says"Poor company to work for. If you are not good friends with someone, you won't last long. People get heavily discriminated but are told to keep quiet and concentrate on the job. You try your best to learn and accomplish the task, but people that come after will get promoted. Not an equal opportunity company, promotions are hand me downs. Don't say no as it is considered as quit.Ethics board is useless. No one listens.Company is cheap. No recognition or rewards for years of service completion. You are just a number."
Network Administrator (Former Employee) says"When I arrived there there was no need for a network admin. The guys that were there tried to convert me to a system admin instead. I was shipped out to Creech AFB for training for a week, but I found a better job while I was there."
Safety Services Patroller (Former Employee) says"This is a very hazardous and dangerous position with very little pay, you are literally working on the highway with vehicles flying by with no due regard to you or your emergency lights. As if the position is already hazardous enough, you have a management culture who seek out on witch hunts on the daily to nit pick minor violations to write you up on, almost as if they are trophy hunting for individuals and take pride on getting them terminated or written up, as if they just scored a victory. The management is not trustworthy and very cutthroat. Expect to work 50 hours a week with no to very little time off while certain supervisors can take weeks off at a time. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay away.A "thanks for showing up to work" pizza party every few monthsStressful, Toxic, High Turnover, Low Pay, Hazardous"
Plant Operator (Former Employee) says"The clicks got rid of me for a stress test but I passed they said I didn’t pass it to their standards so if they don’t like you you won’t stay long they want you to kiss Up to themLots of overtime if you want itThey want you to jump if you don’t they look at you like you’re lazy"

Senior Architect (Former Employee) says"No support from supervisorY staff. AECOM took over and RUINED a good company (URS). They have no idea what they are doing. They started by saying that the reason they wanted URS was it’s people. They then proceeded to bully and antagonize existing management and long time employees to the point of quitting or termination. The previous company is unrecognizable ! Terrible company !"

Management is nearly nonexistent and usually scatters at the sign of any trouble.Vacation timeLack of direction, no chance at promotion in a good old boy environment"
Mechanic (Former Employee) says"Nothing to say other than the high turn around rate, no room to move up, and you cannot trust anyone. Other than that it is a great place to work if you like getting run over by a bus every day"
Maintenance Mechanic (Former Employee) says"The work enviroment wasnt great the company low bid so the people coming on had their pay cut drastically and it kind of went down hill from there. Managment wasnt the best it definitely wasnt making sure the people doing the job were taken care of, even the military noticed there was a problem."
Project Engineering Manager (Former Employee) says"AECOM could care less about it's employees. Employees are simply revenue generation units, faceless cogs to be ground into dust and then replaced with a younger and cheaper unit."
Maintenance Technician III (Former Employee) says"Terrible management. Company doesn't care! Don't respect employees. At all. When they took over entire sections walked out. When you lose 30k off the top and the benefits are terrible. What is one to do?Management sucks"
Environmental Specialist (Former Employee) says"Project manager put entire crew’s lives at risk, then falsified safety documents. Got written up for false claims by underling that wanted a promotion. Forced to take medical leave because of lying, backstabbing boss who under-bid major project. Was laid off due to “no work” because I had integrity and would do the right thing.NoneToxic workplace, forced overtime, lying Management, petty politics."
