3 Technologies International Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

3G (short for third generation) is the third generation of wireless mobile telecommunications technology. It is the upgrade for 2.5G and 2.5G GPRS networks, for faster data transfer. This is based on a set of standards used for mobile devices and mobile telecommunications use services and networks that comply with the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000) specifications by the International Telecommunication Union. 3G finds application in wireless voice telephony, mobile Internet access, fixed wireless Internet access, video calls and mobile TV.

A customer mentioned, "Well, Verizon's 3G sucks compared to AT&T's 3G or T-Mobile's 3G. They use a GSM standard called HSPA and HSPA+ which can reach 21mbps and 42mbps respectively. This is often referred to as "4G" even though it is more of a 3G technology, more like 3.5G. Verizon's 3G though? It is CDMA EVDO (rev-A specifically). Maxes out at 3mbps. Awful. It will tend to be much slower. It gets congested extremely easily especially because of Verizon refarming the spectrum used for 3G for LTE instead. So, less spectrum (bandwidth) means lower speeds and lower capacity. That is likely to have happened. Aging panels that are no longer maintained could also be the cause."
