Zazzle Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Zazzle is an American online marketplace that allows designers and customers to create their own products with independent manufacturers (clothing, posters, etc.), as well as use images from participating companies. Zazzle has partnered with many brands to amass a collection of digital images from companies like Disney and Hallmark. Zazzle claims to have over 300 million unique products listed on the site.
Haylee C. from Conway, SC shares her experience with Zazzle in a review she wrote for INFLUENSTER: "I ordered wedding invitations from this company. I spent a great deal of money as well the items were not matching and customer service which took an hour to speak with allowed me to reorder. The second set was still wrong. Very disappointed"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"Management are hr very disorganized, no real values for lower level employees. Higher management would constantly give talks on goals which seemed achievable but then once you reach them there is another step that you didn't know about which you are constantly chasing. They lie to you basically to keep you interested."
Hourly Supervisor (Former Employee) says"Unless you are upper management like on the board of directors the work life balance is awful. The senior level managers don't even work eight hours a day while the hourly are expected to work as many hours as demanded on them or be fired. The benefits are not much better if you work in Nevada they don't even offer sick pay. Your job security is minimal they lay off as soon as production tails off unless you are one of the "in" crowd of Zazzle or part of the Gonzalez family. The Reno Nevada facility is now searching for their third plant manager in less then three years. The culture is shut up and get your job done or be fired. Safety is the lowest priority with multiple safety violations through out the plant. Stay away from this dump unless you like being treated like a slave.when you get to leave each dayno sick pay and low pay. low moral and no regard for your safety"
Inspector (Former Employee) says"to much gossiping and not enough work. Always feeling uncomfortable.Managers supervisor goofing off with employees they like picking on ones they dontZazzle was in a good part of town.Managers goofing off. Making problems for employees they didn't like."
Production Operator (Former Employee) says"friendly crew & helpful leaders only short term employment no advancement for a seasonal job. Don't place order coz no guarantee you will receive your order before you get lay off."
Production Worker (Former Employee) says"Co-workers help make it through the day, Other than that you will be miserable. Management tries to find any reason to get rid of you unless you kiss up to them."
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) says"I only worked at this job 1 day, the training is bad, they train you for about 15 minutes and leave you alone with nobody to answer any questions accept for people around me that didn’t speak very good English and they were trying to teach me the job. I really think my trainer needs to speak English so I can learn my job correctly. Not sure why these warehouses think its ok to have their trainers that barely speak English try to train someone.Clean warehousePay every 2 weeks and trainers don’t speak very good English"
Team Lead (Former Employee) says"There is no definite work load for each day so they send workers home most of the time. They are good to their employees though but only to those who have been there longest. New people aren't so important to them,"
Taking in shipments (Former Employee) says"i dislike the company as i did a good job but my training there made me as if i ran things poorly so the training there is horrible. an i wanted to be long term with the company but they laid me off 4 days before Christmas an been on unemployment since then..liked the early shiftsdislike the training"
inventory (Former Employee) says"fast environment set schedules paid weekly management is very ridiculous with expectationsgood hours set hoursshort breaks, tried to deny bathroom breaks, excessive lectures, etc."
Production Worker/lead (Former Employee) says"It was a great company back in 2006, and slowy became a bad place to work around 2013 due to the lack of trainning with the new products, equipments..3 diffrent shiftsMangers that doesn't care."
Production Supervisor (Current Employee) says"during a typical work day I set up my team with their daily goal and let them know our areas of strength and weakness from the previous day. throughout the day I check in with team members to ensure we are on track to hit goal."
Digital Press Operator (Former Employee) says"The atmosphere when i first walked onto the work site was weary and bleak. The employees looked like they did not want to be there. Some looked tired and over worked, some looked bored. My department was fun and exciting and the team members in my department made the job bearable.fun atmosphere sometimes, nice break rooms.employees loo miserable."
Production Laborer (Former Employee) says"A typical day involved me packaging 100+ wedding invitations into boxes to be shipped out. I learned how much I hate jobs that are assembly line/warehouse and prohibit any sort of communication with other people in my department. The management was decent. I don't know anything about any of them. The hardest part was finding something to occupy your mind for eight hours of focusing on nothing but the same repeated task for hours on end. The most enjoyable part was the pay: $12/hr.$12/hrFatal boredom is rampant"
Inventory Supervisor (Former Employee) says"On a daily basis we pull garnets, I learned that not everyone has the same work ethic and not everyone gets their position because of hard work. Management has favoritism."
Production Worker (Former Employee) says"learned how to Q.A our products, some of our co workers are nice but some are really greedy with the workloads mostly if your not on the same race.. the hardest part in this job is you have to switch in other areas to have somethin to do because a lot of regular employees doesnt give workloads to the new ones..free foods sometimes"
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says"This company has a great owner, however the management can use some work. They promote with ill intent, seems like the management who cares about the company get the end of the stick. Internal theft is over looked when its being addressed. Staff is always feeling as this company is union and once there for a year, he or she gets seniority. call outs are no big deal here, leaving it difficult to really infraction.discountmanagement, staff, internal theft"
Production Worker I (Former Employee) says"Honestly, Zazzle is an "Easy" place to work. It's slow even during the holiday rush season. Well for Reno area it is. I liked the slow/busy we had during the end of November till the first of the year but I was printing ornaments so it was pretty chill. However, after the holiday rush you are stuck in the same area usually. I learned a lot of machines because that's the type of person I am. I work to learn new things. As far as advancements I always applied but never got the jobs, just excuses. I wasn't raised on excuses but this company sure has some management that was. Unless you are favored by the management there you won't go anywhere. The co-workers were honestly why I held in for so long. There is some amazing people who work there, they started to leave in twos though when they realized nothing was going to happen opportunity wise and went else where as I did. The supervisors were great people too, and not all management was bad just particular people which happens everywhere I guess.Sometimes we got spoiled with food. It's an opportunity for 4 10's or 3 12's.Short Breaks, not a long enough lunch period, they'd complain about bathroom breaks."
Apparel Printer (Former Employee) says"There weren't many surprises. If you can tolerate the tedium that comes with working in a factory and dealing with printer breakdowns this is the right company for you. Night shifts are available."
Receiving Associate (Current Employee) says"Productivity has its ups and downs because of holidays that make us very busy and off season months that seam dead. I work thru a temp agency which is the reason why I'm looking for a permanent career directly with a company."
Production Worker (Former Employee) says"Everyday is a different day because you wouldn't be at the same station every time.free food from time to timenone"
Marco Malagon says"A friend and former student if mine, after graduating from high school, ordered me a gift in November to avoid the Christmas rush. It was a stamp to put a smile on the faces of my future students. To be extra sure, she paid extra to assure its arrival by the 16th of December. Two months later, my poor student stressed and struggled to try and find out where the gift was. We gave up, and I told her it was enough that she thought about me. Then I got the package. Labeled overnight delivery on January 15th. Two months for Zazzle to deliver a stamp. Doesn't matter how "rushed" it was when you're 6 weeks late!"
wassupwifyoface dawg says"I bought a customised mug from zazzle for £20! The printing quality is terrible. I can't tell if I'm looking at a picture of my girlfriend's face or a carrot."
Mary says"I received an ornament as a gift and read on the website about returning/exchanging it. I returned it, paying for shipping and requesting that my account be credited, rather than the gift giver's account, to avoid offending her. I heard nothing. Weeks pass, I inquired, and was told they do not credit gift recipients' accounts, either for the item itself or even for return shipping. So they end up with the profit from the original sale, an item that can be resold for additional profit, and not even the cost of return shipping. Not a lot of money involved, but this is really shabby policy and service!! After seeing this review, Zazzle emailed me offering to "assist me further." I'm done with Zazzle, but I hope the company takes a lesson for other customers."
