Vielife has rebranded to Cigna and as of February 2016, the Vielife name has been retired. The rebrand supports Cigna’s business strategy by uniting our global workforce, strengthening our global offerings, and helping us bring forward an expanding set of tools, resources and cultural understanding. With the Cigna brand name comes a renewal of our commitment to our mission to support the health and wellbeing of those we serve.


In November 2017, a lawsuit including Cigna as one of the defendants was filed. The lawsuit states that Cigna engaged in activity prohibited by the mail/wire fraud implications of RICO by paying members of the Infectious Diseases Society of America to develop clinical guidelines to not treat chronic Lyme disease. The plaintiffs are suing Cigna, along with the IDSA and other health-insurance companies for damages. The case has been assigned to United States Judge for the Eastern District of Texas Texarkana Division Robert Schroeder. Judge Schroeder granted a jury trial, and hearings have been scheduled for 2019.

"I worked at Vielife full-time for less than a year Cons: Management would often shout at each other, use bad language and various other under hand management tactics in an attempt to make us work more for longer hours. I also believe that the company has rebranded (Cigna) and relocated their London office, perhaps somewhere smaller?"
