VAM Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

VAM USA, LLC manufactures and markets connection solutions. The Company offers provides flush, semi flush integral joints, and connections for deep wells, coupled tubing, and carbon and stainless steel casing. VAM operates in North America.

A former quality inspector shared his experience, "At one time VAM USA was a great place to work. As long has you did your job right and met production. Benefits were great and you received a good Christmas bonus, monthly production bonus and profit sharing bonus. Yearly raises were good depending on your work ethics and job review. Always opportunity for advancement and learning new skills.

But, that's all changed. No more Christmas Bonus, No more Production Bonus, and Profit Sharing Bonus are small compared to what they once were. Yearly raises are under cost of living, no matter how good your review is. If you want a pay increase, you have to go to classes. Which is difficult to do since they increased work hours from 10hr shifts to 12hr shifts 5 to 5. Advancement is difficult to come by. If you are a Machinist, QC inspector, don't expect to move up at all. Even if a Job Opening is posted, no matter how qualified you are, how much seniority you have, or how loyal/good of a work you are.

VAM USA has turned into a training ground for Vallorec France, which is the parent company. They send green people to train as Plant Managers, VPs, Line Supervisor and Engineers that Know Nothing of the Oil and Gas Business. No matter who they send, their solution is the same for Increase production and saving the Company money. Which is, Increase work hours with as little man power as possible and take away benefits/perks from Shop Works."

"I have been working at VAM USA for more than 10 years Cons: Management is horrendous, if you are not in the "click" forget about advancement. EVERYTHING is a huge secret. they say they have an "open door" policy and are transparent, VAM is about as transparent as a brick wall. when a senior staff member says they don't give a flip (not the word he used) if a 20+ year employee or anyone else leaves because of a HUGE cut in pay, makes you think twice about working for the company."
