Unitron is a Canadian hearing aid manufacturer with worldwide operations headquartered in Waterloo Region, Canada.

An angry customer shared his/her opinion about Unitron on Consumer Affairs in November 2019:

"Unitron hearing aids are CRAP. I spent the money and got the best they had to offer with all the bells and whistles and they kept cutting out, even a waitress standing 2 ft from me I couldn't hear them, I kept hearing it's the wax, let's adjust blah blah blah. I've been back to my audiologist umpteen number of times, I even got them sent back and still they keep cutting out and these are cleaner than when I got them, they are actually worse for my hearing than if I didn't have anything in them at all, the app is crap too no features sometimes connects sometimes not... I recommend NOT spending any money or time into these they are nothing but pain and not worth the hassle... I wish I could give less than 1 star."

"I have been working at Unitron (TX) Cons: Where to begin? Only people that matter are the higher up in the company. The pay is terrible and they admitted to low wages because of the benefits they offer. The system needs a complete overhaul and upgrade, from what I understand is they've been using the same outdated system for 20+ years. The job could be so much easier and efficient if they invested in a better system. Absolutely no room for advancement, if you don't mind settling for less then this is the place for you!"

"I worked at Unitron (TX) full-time Cons: Management is completely out of touch with the real world. Still trying to run the company with old ideas that hinder the process and progress. Micromanagement is taken to a new meaning, and employees and company directives keep changing thus not allowing the employee or company to grow. Chairmen / managers need to leave the company and allow new managers to take over. The company continues to lose sales personnel for the same reason."

"This is a job, that's about it. No room for advancement, the pay is low, no raises in YEARS!! They say it's because of the benefits they offer, no other explantion given. No one really knows how to work together, everyone puts blame on anyone they can. It's a dead end job! Best for temporary work only. They work as if still in the 80's, the system they use needs upgrading so bad. Cons: Poor management, no pay raises, no bouneses, lack of commuincation, gossip, childish behavior"
