Strava Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Strava is an internet service for tracking human exercise which incorporates social network features. It is mostly used for cycling and running using GPS data. Strava uses a freemium model with some features only available in the paid subscription plan (formerly called Strava Premium and then Strava Summit).
David Miller wrote in August 2020 a review for GOOGLE PLAYSTORE referring to the Strava app complaining about the GPS (as many users that used the app):
"The past several months that I've been using Strava, the GPS has been off. It started out by just not tracking somewhere between .1-.3 on a 2-mile run (i checked it on a 400m track to confirm) but these past 2 weeks it shows activity all over the place. I did 5x400m on a track today, and my total activity according to the app was over 12 miles"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"- The product is stagnant. The big accomplishments from the last couple years were mostly overdue tech upgrades, facelifts for a few existing pages, Suffer Score became Relative Effort and subscriptions were broken into packs. Oh, and marketing made ads that featured more casual athletes instead of making another video of an intense runner sprinting through a forest or a cyclist powering up a mountain road. - Every product team has a couple designers but the design team as a whole seems to operate independently. Designers spends a surprising amount of time in design reviews and meeting about things like design language and color choice. It's nice that every designer gets a voice in those exercises but actual results feels like an afterthought, which is okay because there doesn't seem to be any accountability. - The new San Francisco office is nice but the location is sketchy. Lunch options are limited. The soup kitchen next door means that there are a lot of homeless people around. There is always human waste and used needles on the sidewalks and commotions are common right outside the front door. - Benefits beyond base salary are weak. Things like paid insurance premiums and the equipment stipend are nice but insignificant in the scheme of things. - The culture is very focused on running and cycling but maybe to a fault if you like working with well-rounded people with diverse interests."

Former Employee - Software Engineer says"Lack of vision at the top, feels like the priority over the next 12-18 months is just social features. Leadership's focus on these safe, social features means there is little support for anything else on the product road map. Over my time there it was very very difficult to have an impact over the product as a whole. Only 1 of 8 senior managers (VP + C*O) is an engineer!!! Salary was okay at the start but failed to keep pace with the market or the experience gained over the first few years. In a way forcing you to leave."

Matt Meredith says"Waste of time. Subscribed to access heart rate analysis. Initially worked then stopped for no reason. Suggested fixes don’t work , response from support zero. Chat rooms full of users with same issue - obviously ignored . Cancelled subscription and deleted account."
Jennifer says"I had a free trial which they offered to extend by 30 days. I accepted and about 5 days later I was charged the full year. They said they would re-fund but I've not heard anything and received no refund. They are taking peoples money without permission and I don't intend to accept it."
Reza says"Non existent support. I raised a query with regard to payment at Strava. I contacted support and didn't even get a response. I am paid member too! I will not be resubscribing again as they didn't have the courtesy to acknowledge my request."
scott jackson says"I really don't know why people think this app is good? Its interface is absolute crap and non intuitive. The home screen looks like a dog vomitted into my phone. One star is way too much, people rating it more than 1 star must have very low expectations and must be blown away when they use a well developed app."
