China Southern Airlines Company Limited is an airline headquartered in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Established on 1 July 1988 following the restructuring of the CAAC Airlines that acquired and merged a number of domestic airlines, the airline became one of China's "Big Three" airlines (alongside Air China and China Eastern Airlines), the world's seventh-largest airline measured by passengers carried and Asia's largest airline in fleet size, revenue, and passengers carried. With its main hubs at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport, the airline operates more than 2,000 flights to more than 200 destinations daily and was a member of SkyTeam until 1 January 2019. The airline started a frequent flyer program partnership with American Airlines in March 2019. The logo of the airline consists of a kapok flower (which is also the city flower of Guangzhou) on a blue tail fin.

Ebrar K mentioned in a review, "China Southern Airlines does not care at all about customers. They are famous for delays and poor customer service. They even do not have any automated email system to inform their customer about any delays or cancellation. You will wait for hours to speak to their customer service and they are hard to communicate with. You will end up paying more with this Airline in the end. Check other reviews as well. Pay more and make your travel easier. My return flight to London Heathrow was on 1st of Feb 2020. I had to change it to 11th of Feb to stay for longer with my family in China due to Covid-19 and Paid extra for it. 11th of Feb direct flight to London was then cancelled without informing me , I only knew it when I reached Zhengzhou airport. I kept on calling for days and when I reached CSA I was told my direct flight has been changed to via Guangzhou, and I have to pay for the hotel stay at night. A week before my flight via Guangzhou I phoned to check whether the flights are cancelled. I was told the flights were cancelled, and I should wait until June or take refund. My visa was expiring so I asked for refund. I was told I will be refunded within 10 working days. Waited for over a month (kept 100000s of customer money in bank account to cover their losses) and then I got a call saying we will not be paying you the amount we promised earlier and we will be pay you less. I had to pay more to travel with another airline."

"Our train was delayed by 20 mins, with no explanation or guidance from staff. We learnt that they couldn't find a driver for our train. If this happens during a quiet period after lockdown, I wonder how trains could ever operate at a larger capacity. Always a reason for delays."

"Beyond terrible, I've been lucky enough to travel around the world and for what you get this really is the absolute worst public transport system in the world. Expensive, unreliable, poor customer service and complete disregard for passenger welfare. I use them all the time unfortunately but have hated this company more than any other the entire time I have had tbe misfortune to be a customer. I just hope that at least one employee feels deeply ashamed of this abuse as I have yet to feel empathy or support over the last 12 years. Congratulations to the board in gathering this much disdain and hatred for the misery you put people through. You are possibly the worst company in the world, congratulations, I hope the board has problems sleeping but I doubt it."

"Get a taxi you’ll be alive by the end. your trains are so bad you put posters of other trains that you don’t even have and if you don’t hurry you will never have them on the track and all your workers think there god not even police think that. Really should start cleaning the trains on the inside as we’ll as the outside and I catch this train five times a week and there at least to get there 1 Delay and on the way back there is at least 3 delays it’s so bad and stupid. Western trains are so much better."
