Sanofi Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Sanofi S.A. is a French multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Paris, France, as of 2013 the world's fifth-largest by prescription sales. Originally, the company was formed in 1973 and the current incarnation was formed as Sanofi-Aventis in 2004, by the merger of Aventis and Sanofi-Synthélabo, which were each the product of several previous mergers. It changed its name to Sanofi in 2011. Sanofi engages in the research and development, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceutical drugs principally in the prescription market, but the firm also develops over-the-counter medication. The company covers seven major therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, central nervous system, diabetes, internal medicine, oncology, thrombosis and vaccines (it is the world's largest producer of the latter through its subsidiary Sanofi Pasteur).
A senior financial analyst detailed an unfair working environment, 'Non-French employees [at Sanofi] are, simply put, not respected and not given space to grow. There is a clear and obvious bias against promoting internal talent in favor of bringing in any (usually French) external person in for any leadership roles, no matter the level."
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Micromanage you to death. Force you to go to pointless week long meetings and waste your time."
Former Employee - Packaging says"Corporate may be heaven, but packaging in Malvern is a joke. Do you enjoy condescendence & being made an A—of? Like to entertain yourself by badgering the disabled? Love to get paid to do nothing? Interested in Racism practices? Then this is the place for you If you have any intelligence or organizational skill, it will be wasted and condemned. Better still, you will be degraded in front of everyone. Slander & discussions behind your back are an everyday occurrence. If you study or try to better yourself, you will be made a fool of. Badgering the disabled is not only condoned, but encouraged among coworkers and supervisors for entertainment. Sensitivity training is useless & badgering started the minute the training was finished. Most of the time, you can goof-off and party hardy without having to do any real work. And, your paycheck will still come. You may be insulted and offended by what is being said or done and told to get along with people. But, then they company you keep may include perverts, racists, losers, and brainless. Training modules are massive, yet useless in practice. So, if you are intelligent & organized, show up for work on time every day (including bad weather) and believe in a work ethic and privacy (which there is none), don’t come here. You will regret it. Also, management – there is none and possesses the same characteristics."
Former Employee - Key Account Manager says"outstanding performance doesn't matter when decision is made for division to close. Concern for employees is non-existent."
Current Employee - Executive Sales Professional says"Micro Management every day including field rides every other week."
Former Employee - Regulatory Affairs says"Extremely burdensome and unnecessary formal and informal processes create inefficiency. There are a bouquet of internal committees that teams spend a significant amount of time preparing for. In Regulatory Affairs for the US, Regulatory leads are overloaded with work. Some management lacks experience in this area and have significant difficulties interacting with and managing the teams."
Former Employee - Internal Audit Senior says"Bad Culture, Bad Team Spirit, Management does not care if your not French, Insane working hours, Insane trips, I will never recommend this job to anyone."
Former Employee - Senior Executive Sales Professional says"Poor leadership chasing short term stock price."
says"No job security, no possibility of promotion with constant layoffs, constant change so no continuity with providers or territory management"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Depending on the site and department you are hired in your experience will be vastly different. Production areas (FIP) are pushed hard and bear the brunt of aggressive schedule demands. 24/7 operations require OT from all three shifts resulting in poor work/life balance for people in these areas. This results in burnout and poor morale. The paycheck keeps you coming back but eventually you reach the point where you question if it's worth the sacrifice you and your family make. All the while other areas operate in a country club environment and ride on, and even hinder, the hard work of the production teams. It really is amazing to see so many benefiting from the effort of so few. Sad."
Former Employee - Laong Term Care Specialist says"Every year during the 4th quarter SANOFI employees are faced with corporate downsizing. If the competition decided to reduce its' sales force, SANOFI would also have layoffs."

Diabetes District Trainer (Former Employee) says"Sanofi has poor management, no direction whatsoever they don’t care about their customers (either internal or external). Things I was promised were never delivered. Managers encouraged unethical/borderline illegal sales practices. No raise in 7 1/2 years despite multiple National Award wins. My annual bonus was clawed back after I left. It was absolutely the WORST WORK rEXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE."
IT Support Specialist (Former Employee) says"A lot is put on you and very little help is given for you able to do your work in the time frame that you are given to complete your work . overtime is a given and it is normal to go into a late day and not be paid for overtime as its expected"
Manufacturing (Former Employee) says"First of all, what kind of hiring manager brings someone in as a contractor without even making sure to speak with them on the phone at all? I was completely misplaced through an agency, never talked to the manager. 2 people hardly trained me, one was horribly rude to me, and then I get let go. Contractors don't waste your time, you get treated like dirt here."

Diabetes Specialty Sales Professional (Former Employee) says"I would not recommend working in the diabetes sales force if you can find any other employment. Constant threat of layoffs based on your location not job performance, regular threats of firing and being "written up" as part of management's idea of "development". Culture of micro management and fear with manager ride along "training" to be expected 3-4 days a month regardless of experience level.Company carEndless micro managment, constant revisions of territories and expections."

Device Specialist (Former Employee) says"This Company has gone down hill. Upper Management is not good and are a double edged sword Diabetes side company with Lantus, Toujeo and Solique. They have just laid off there Top sales representatives again and there will be more to come. This was a top company to work for in the early and mid 2000's. They have no loyalty towards there Sales force or Management and can't hold a any place to BioTech Company's like Amgen. Good luck, if you come to Sanofi, they have to reap what they have done to all of there Top Sales Executives. No Christian basis for a Company like SanofiWas a Great company in past, NoneNo Loyalty"
