The Rugby World Cup is a men's rugby union tournament contested every four years between the top international teams. The tournament was first held in 1987, when the tournament was co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia. The winners are awarded the Webb Ellis Cup, named after William Webb Ellis, the Rugby School pupil who, according to a popular legend, invented rugby by picking up the ball during a football game. Four countries have won the trophy; New Zealand and South Africa three times, Australia twice, and England once. South Africa are the current champions, having defeated England in the final of the 2019 tournament in Japan. The tournament is administered by World Rugby, the sport's international governing body. Sixteen teams were invited to participate in the inaugural tournament in 1987, however since 1999 twenty teams have taken part. Japan hosted the 2019 Rugby World Cup and France will host the next in 2023. On 21 August 2019, World Rugby announced that gender designations would be removed from the titles of the men's and women's World Cups. Accordingly, all future World Cups for men and women will officially bear the "Rugby World Cup" name. The first tournament to be affected by the new policy will be the next women's tournament to be held in New Zealand in 2021, which will officially be titled as "Rugby World Cup 2021".

A former employee from The Rugby Worls Cup said "Management at RWC showed favoritism. Would let certain people go shopping, go home on work hours and leave them on the clock. Let their friends miss work or do nothing while on clock. Manager would change your time clock hours because they wanted to even if it was time clock fraud. Would blame everyone else for issues that their friends would cause and make you stay late or come in early to cover that persons shift. Would let their friend show inappropriate pictures to customers and employees and do nothing about it. When HR was contacted they wouldn't follow up nor do anything about the situation."

RWC Reviews

LM says "Rugby Ticket Service sale tickets almost 3 times their facial value. I am appaled by these methods, as there are no valid reasons to explain such a price. I ordered in septembre for a game in february, and I had to insist to have my ticket delivered at home rather than in my hotel in Wales as recomended by the site. I want to underline that the customer service has always been very available and nice, I advise them to change job as Rugby Ticket Service don't deserve such good employees. I do not recommend at all."
Marius says "Bought tickets for the France vs Ireland game back in October. Asked for a refund but were told that no refund will be given as the game will still go ahead sometime in the future. No regard is given to the fact that I wont be able to attend the rescheduled date. I was told that I must sell the tickets myself. Further research shows that RugbyTicketServices is not an official ticketing supplier and only buy and sell tickets on a secondary market and wash their hands of anything going wrong after delivering your tickets. They do not provide any customer service post purchase. DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM THEM!"
Annoyed customer says "Absolute appalling! Stay away from this place. This place is a scam!"
Jim says "After the cancellation of the Italy vs England game I was expecting a full refund on the tickets I purchased, only to be told that at present they will not refund the money as they are waiting for the Italian Union to offer more information. The inference is that the tickets remain valid for the rearranged fixture and if I dont require the tickets I should sell them. Seems quick enough to take the money (350 Euros) but wash their hands when things go wrong. Certainly will not be using them again, and will not reccomend to anyone I know."
