"Truecrimedaily by Chris Hansen is one of these websites that promise more than they keep. At first, it has seemed very intriguing for me, as you get news on the newest crime that has happened in the USA, as well as giving you videos of interviews, interrogations etc. about older and mostly high-profile cases. Yet, as the title of my review says, this website is very American-like, which means that it takes overreactive drama over truth, while cutting so many other things out. Here is a small list, to give you some details about what I mean: 1. They never go truly deep into a case, for example with 15-years-old Alyssa Bustamante, who, on 21st October 2009, killed 9-years-old Elizabeth Olten in St. Martins, Missouri. Simply put, Alyssa is being shown by Truecrimedaily as a bloodthirsty monster, just wanting the thrill from the kill. There is no mentioning by Truecrimedaily that she was high to the maximum on Prozac on that day and already for a period of at least two weeks before the murder. Indeed, Alyssa was high on that extremely dangerous anti-depressant, which a study in Bad Homburg, Germany, on 25th May 1984 has stated that this crazy drug should never be given to the public, because its negative impacts, including suicidal and possibly also homicidal behavior, are too severe to take the risk of taking just one pill as depressive, yet non-suicidal patients have become suicidal during that study, as soon as they have started taking Prozac, while two of the patients even committed suicide. As Alyssa was already suicidal, which was the reason of why she was getting a Prozac prescription, one could guess that Prozac turned her suicidal thoughts into homicidal thoughts. Would Alyssa have done what she did if Prozac would had never been given to her? Well, Truecrimedaily does not ask or even answer the question, nor does the text on their website, which is just a transcription of all the words being said in the video. A small internet research could have revealed so much, but as Truecrimedaily has a black-white-thinking, which means that the killers are always pure evil to them, no matter what happened to them before they did what they did, you cannot expect such a research from them. 2. Now about the serial killer Sean Vincent Gillis: Why Truecrimedaily shows you pictures of the crime scenes, including the dead bodies of the victims, when they decide at the same time to blur the entire picture, yet they still put it on the screen for you, although you see nothing? What the Hell? Either you show it 100% or you do not show it at all! 3. The site really did put me off when I have watched the videos about Kelly Cochran, who, with the help of her husband, killed her lover. At one point Truecrimedaily uses a gipsy woman to tell them what happened in the house and the gipsy lied that immediately after she entered the Cochran home she truly felt what happened. Yeah, right! 4. There is secret advertising all over the place. There is one case of an Asian-American girl (I’ve forgot her name), who hired two killers to kill her tiger parents. One journalist, who studied about the case, wrote a book about it and of course Truecrimedaily just has to put that goddamn thing right in front of your screen, which is like “Hey, give me my money, come on, gimme gimme!” So annoying! 5. They are heroizing people for absolutely nothing, especially the victims of the killers and especially when it comes to women. “Oh, she was so good, she had no enemies, she had thousands of friends, she was loved by everyone who just met her right from the start…”, I could go on here forever. Now my question is: If these victims were so perfect, so godlike and so invulnerable, according to the heroizing of Truecrimedaily, how come they have been killed? 6. Sometimes Chris Hansen is still putting on his old show, by finding, interviewing and therefore exposing child predators. This stupid stuff is so acted, staged and over dramatized that I cannot believe anything of that made-up nonsense. It's indeed all fake, because a real child predator would know if that is Chris Hansen suddenly standing in front of him, as he is already infamous among child predators, due to his show, and he would surely not sit down to talk with Mr. Hansen either. It's all just a stupid show and I am sad that people actually believe this crap to be real. My advice: Use this website only as a start to learn some basic things about an infamous case, but, for the love of the truth, do your own research about that case then and do not rely solely on Truecrimedaily."
