Parex Bank was a Latvian bank founded in 1992 by Valērijs Kargins and Viktors Krasovickis as a privately owned full-service banking company in Riga, Latvia. Its services were marketed both locally and to international clients in both the West and Russia. It's failure and state takeover was one of the major events of the 2008-2010 Latvian financial crisis crisis in Latvia.

A disappointed customer shared this on Reddit "Parex Bank is the worst bank in history, bad service. They have no answers at all, their employees are not trained for any task. Never go near this place. You will only waste time and money on this. Walk away".

"This is by no means a knock on their Anaheim office employees, as they were professional and courteous. However, the management I had for the past 16 months was the worst I've experienced in all my years working. We were up +40% from the previous year and all we heard was how much we sucked! My own district manager kept telling me the other guys, got paid more and didn't bring in the revenue as I did. Set up a scheme for me to get more money then baked when asked for his thoughts on my earnings. Anytime our sales manager would ask for a task to be done, my district manager would undermine him and have us completely blow it off. Not only that, they tried to force me to turn in a letter of resignation because I asked for more money. Upon asking them to change the paperwork because they were terminating me, they lied to unemployment and told them I turned in my 2 weeks notice and resigned. Completely fabricating the entire process to still try and ruin my opportunities.The employees that aren't management are excellent peopleManagement, disloyal, dishonest, lack of promotion/ advancement"

"I would like to say, that the management was fairly decent for the first 3.5 years I had worked at Parex. Although there was some communication issues, everything was not that bad.Then walks in new management. His entrance to Parex brought the depletion of safety, communication, organization and employee moral. Working in this environment for the next year, brought myself, as well as other workers, to go our separate ways. "Spent majority of time answering the Technical Phone line, and reviewing/updating Technical literature, PDS, specifications for usage, labels & mixing directions, LEEDs data, and other marketing brochures. This included Sales force support, and getting customers the info they need ASAP. Field visits for customer support/product concerns and some field application. Testing of new products would be done as needed. For the most part this was a independent job, Tech Director would give input or follow up on hot items. Tech Dept was spread around the country, Atlanta. TX, NM, Anahiem and there was very good cooperation. Hardest part of the job was when we were on high call volume days with many right now requests, and the first few months when one had too "learn on the fly". This was compounded by 6 different brands across the country, many with different product names. And of course the occasional customer who was in a bind you (or the Dept) could not help them out of. But it was very satisfying on the days that you helped a lot of people and they were truly grateful. It also was interesting talking to people all across the country & other countries specific regional weather issues."

I also entered in data into the ERP software system JD Edwards (Oracle). It was a very professional environment. I used multiple software programs including Interactive Reporting, Gateway, JD Edwards (Oracle), Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, and others. I made presentations in Power Point to multi-million dollar clients using excel to take charts or calculations as needed."

"I paid extra shipping fees for two day shipping, after placing the order they informed me that they didn't have the item in stock and would let me know when it shipped, they said 5 to 7 days before it shipped. I needed the item in a hurry or I wouldn't have paid extra for the two days shipping, to make matters worse they shipped it UPS who doesn't work on Saturdays or Sundays, plus the Monday after they shipped it was a holiday so I didn't receive the item until Tuesday, over a week after I ordered it, by the way, it only traveled a few hundred miles."
