"Not recommended at all, they treat people really bad. They don’t care about their employees or costumers. Management will try to pay you bad and make you work a lot, they have a lot of temporal employees stealing from lockers.NothingAll your nightmares coming true"

maintenance mechanic/ sanitary welder (Current Employee) says

"Union job and company is against the employees advancing and being happy at work. Very miserable job, no growth whatsoever. Extremely high turnover rate. Lazy employees and the pay is below market pay for maintenance mechanicsLots of overtimeNo home life"

Processor (Current Employee) says

"I cant begin to explain how difficult it is to stay employed at this place. There's a very low lack of leadership and advancement its all politics and the production manager is a complete waste of time"

Member of the SOP (Former Employee) says

"This is a company that has little concern for a persons hard work, or seniority and little opportunity to learn new skills or advance. T. Marzetti offers very little training, and do not give employees much opportunity for learning new skills to advance. The money was decent but other then that this is the worst company I have ever worked for"

Quality Analyst I (Current Employee) says

"You start your day by changing into your uniform. Clock in after changing, get your shift handoff with information on what to expect for your shift. Usually the department manager nor the supervisors will address anyone unless there has been a problem and then they assign more work for everyone to try and prevent the problem from happening again. Production floor is always chaotic because of a lack of communication and leadership. Somehow work still gets completed. It is an overall lack of organization that is so frustrating.Good payLack of organization and communication, poor management"

Production Worker (Current Employee) says

"This company has poor communication. They do not care for their employees, they only care about how much product gets out the doors. They do not know what the employees have to do. They pay people to sit in the bathroom or to do work for their other job while others work hard.working without boss hoveringpoor management and stressful"

Maintenance Supervisor (Lean Projects) says

"Bad management slave drivers. Unplanned work schedules. Late starts. Follow by forcing emoyees 12 hours and following shifts. Management low or none feelings towards employees personal time."

HRIS Analyst (Current Employee) says

"This position has high turnover for a reason. I do the job of three people. I'm a Project Manager, Analyst, and Trainer. They refuse to hire the correct amount of people to do the work. So projects take a very long time to finish, because only one person is doing the work. Sadly they work people into the ground and wonder why they can't keep people. Very disappointed."

Machine Operator (Current Employee) says

"Management has favorites ans discriminates against VETERANS. They also share personal medical information with the favorite employees. Management also has many issues with race there. Not a good place to WORK"

No job security (Current Employee) says

"No job security. A typical work day includes harassment by leaders and managers. The hardest part of my job is going to work. Its all about who you know within the company."

Corporate ops (Former Employee) says

"The management group treats it's employees like your in a chain gang. They also don't discipline people who screw up because they are worried about unions so they just let things continue. Poor place to work if your looking for a long stayFree productsManagement at all levels need to be replaced"

Food Scientist (Former Employee) says

"Outside of basic QA or manufacturing, there's a lot of politics between management in each department, which obscures priorities. Also, the pay is not great. This is my personal experience; your mileage may vary."

Accounting Clerk (Former Employee) says

"I worked for Marzetti's for nearly 25 years and my job was eliminated by management. There were very few opportunities for advancement, few perks and average benefits. I was let go because they said my job was "unnecessary". I'm sure they dumped my work onto someone else that is already overworked.40 hr. weekNo opportunity for growth for employees."

Labor Union Representative (Former Employee) says

"This company does not understand that healthy and happy employees lead to high moral and optimal performance. The company treats their employees poorly and had the representation of a union and labor laws not be present, they would give their employees minimal to survive on with expecting the highest demands.Union based plant that results in increased wage.almost every aspect of management"

Production Worker/Machine Operator/Warehouse (Former Employee) says

"Horrible place to work they treated you like you are stupid. All employee are good people. Hr,Manager,Supervisor, they treated you differently to other people if you are not the same color with them !! The company is good Used to be a good place to to work once they quit a good leaders everything else chosen the color"

Quality assurance (Former Employee) says

"Checking physical and chemical products in the lab. few things to learn. Low level Managment. Very poor workplace culture the hardest part of the job, Dealing with not well train people."

Machine Operator (Current Employee) says

"Good place to work! Great coworkers! Jerk management! Great pay and always overtime available! Benefits are very good. The union sucks. They have no backbone."

Marketing (Former Employee) says

"The management group there has good intentions, but really bad execution. The CEO has surrounded himself with people who all have very challenging personalities. This results in middle management spending A LOT of time managing up, versus managing down and being productive. Lots of confusion about strategy for the company overall, which means a lot of wasted time for "worker bees". 3 really bad acquisitions in the past 5 years have put the company at a competitive disadvantage compared to other similarly sized organizations. Management should have spent the $$ on updating tools/systems/manufacturing facilities instead...but they didn't. Lots of time spent trying to push boulders uphill with the acquired companies, no acknowledgement from management that these were bad acquisitions, & no plan to make the acquired companies profitable in the future. Overall - a challenging place to work for all the wrong reasons, with little benefit to the everyday employee. The ONLY outstanding Pro is a 100% match to 401K.No maternity leave other than FMLA, lots of clock watching, work from home discouraged, etc."

HTST Processor (Current Employee) says

"I believe the ceo needs to pick better people to be in charge. The supervisors are uneducated in the role of knowing how to treat people. The production manager is also guilty an lacks empathy, his way of making people work harder is promoting fear of loss of work an scare tactics. When the regular hourly employees go to work it feels like we're headed to prison"

Spice Room Attendant (Current Employee) says

"RIght hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. one person says something another different. was promised opportunity to switch shifts NOT. Been there going on a year and NO opportunity to switch shifts or departments. Miserable working conditions; inoperable safety items such as a suction for the spice dust DOES NOT WORK and hasnt for YEARS according to other employees.free food on occasion from sister shubert/ Marzetti dressingsNO opportunities"
