Indians Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
The Cleveland Indians are an American professional baseball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Indians compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) Central division. Since 1994, they have played at Progressive Field. The team's spring training facility is at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona. Since their establishment as a major league franchise in 1901, the team has won 10 Central Division titles, six American League pennants, and two World Series championships, (in 1920 and 1948). The team's World Series championship drought since 1948 is the longest active among all 30 current Major League teams.
3 reasons why the Cleveland Indians suck:
1. The name of the team above all. It's retrograde. 2. They took FOREVER to stop using Chief Wahoo as their logo. 3. The trio of fans who thought it was a good idea to wear 'redface' and Native American headdresses to a game.
Hostess/Waitress (Former Employee) says"I personally did not like working for the Cleveland Indians team shop. That job made me realize that retail is not for me nor is standing on my feet for multiple hours"
Cleaner (part-time) says"this place is very unprofessional. partiality shown, disrespect, harassment, terrible management, unorganized I mean you name it Cons: not gonna be able to pay to many bills with the money you make."
SALES ASSOCIATE (Former Employee) says"was a fun place to work at. quick paced environment and great team oriented atmosphere. Had the privilege of working baseball games during the season as well. Cons: short hours and no medical insurance"
Sales Associate (Former Employee) says"I met a lot of new and interesting people and learned a lot of things. I received some good hours, but some of the people in management could have been better. Some of them let the "power" get to their heads. They lack leniency and understanding for their employees who work their behinds off. Our lunch break was short and we could even purchase an food from the stadium. None the less I do not regret working there and if asked back I would accept, but if another job called and I had to chose between the Indians and another job, I would pick the other job. Cons: Short Breaks, Undercover Decoys"
Baseball Player (Former Employee) says"Working for the Cleveland Indians (professional baseball in general) was very difficult overall, but Im thankful for the hard learned lessons it taught me about business, working with people, and life in general. Cons: Can be intensely cut-throat, below min. wage, contract restrictions"
GROUNDSKEEPER, MLB (Former Employee) says"Very physical job requiring you to work under pressure and all types of weather. On call when rain comes. Awarding in the respect that you work with major league baseball players. Cons: Seasonal"
Inseat server (Former Employee) says"The management wasn't good was always complaining about something and there was alot of favoritism there. And the hours were flexible sometimes not all the time and the scheduling was bad."
Marketing Intern (Former Employee) says"Company has a very dry culture and is stuck in their ways of relying on statistics for minor decisions. Creativity is lacking in the front office and there is a divide between those is baseball operations, admin, and ballpark operations. Cons: Dry environment"

Partner promotions, etc (Former Employee) says"fast pace job Cons: unpredictable management"
Sales Associate (Current Employee) says"At first, this was a fun place to work, and even now its not horrible. But if you're not one for the same, mundane routine everyday, this is not for you. The breaks are 20 minutes, the pay is just above minimum wage, and you get no discounts on tickets. You cant eat the ballpark food, even if you're paying! Some days you go in and have no idea when you'll be getting out. Not a place to work if you can't stand for a long time, as there are not many opportunities to rest outside of your break. While it is not horrible, the lack of simple benefits here and there make you feel unappreciated in all the work you do to make the ballpark enjoyable. Cons: Short breaks, low pay, no discounts on tickets"
Usher/Ticket Taker (Former Employee) says"This was a seasonal position. I worked as an usher and had many great conversations with fans. I am a fan of the Indians and it was great to be part of the team. Cons: Short breaks"
AMIT of Ballpark Consessions (Former Employee) says"I did everything a manager would do, from hiring, to reporting, to problem solving, for a smaller pay. The irregular hours are expected of professional sports but are inconvenient. All information was privileged, therefore I was left in the dark on a lot of situations that pertained to me. Cons: Tough competitive department"
Student, College Ticket Sales Program (Former Employee) says"This program was implemented as a part of a class I had taken. It gave us the opportunity to learn about ticket sales for a Major League Baseball team while also being able to sell tickets. I personally generated $1,240 in ticket sales through this program."
End User Specialist II (Former Employee) says"Fun place to work if you like sports entertainment. The environment is fun and exciting especially when the team is winning. The people are probably the best part of the job, everyone is nice, extremely nice. Finding advancement to another role can be difficult since many employees don't leave or no room for advancement. Finding someone who would like to work there is easy so it can be hard advancing. Cons: Little room for advancement"
Suites Cleaner (Current Employee) says"A job is a job, some good days, some days make you want to just QUIT Cons: come home tired and in pain from overworking, not as proffesional as it should be."
Merchandise Processor (Former Employee) says"day to day work varied due to team's season. Each day we processed new merchindise or packed up merchindise to be shipped to team shopps."
Pressure Washer (Former Employee) says"Was an exciting job, with deadlines being met. Learned about hydrolic machinery an landscaping. I injoyed working around the players. To bad its seasonal! Cons: cleaning the bowl after a game"
Ron says"the indians suck...draft a star, ala Francisco Lindor, and just give him away to the Mets, who suck in their own right...just like they gave away Trevor Bauer... a group of total assholes"
Mick says"I think they hate having fans. They\'ve come up with a ton of new ways and reasons to not allow people to go to games, they switched to a network that I\'ve never heard of and isn\'t offered in the Cleveland area, the get rid of a lot of the fan\'s favorite players, and they\'re changing their name which is good or bad depending on who you ask. There\'s a conspiracy theory going around that the owner wants to move the team and honestly i don\'t care if they do anymore, and I think a lot of former fans feel the same way. "
