A former Administrator from Wolverhampton office wrote the following review, sharing his/her experience working at Hays in a review published by INDEED UK: Having worked for them for years, in the last 11 months I have had no work and no useful contact. Sophie the agent at Wolverhampton is either "in a meeting" or "with a client" and does not return calls. I had outstanding feedback from clients and have been a real "go-to Temp." All I have been getting is pointless calls asking me for an update of my situation but no offers. Every time it is" I'm not gonna lie, it's been quiet just lately." What for 11 months? Fortunately, I have been successful in finding other work myself or with another agency. Do not waste your time with these people. If they treat an excellent and long-term Temp like this, it's an easy call to guess what anyone else can expect.
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I'm really sorry to hear you had a negative experience. Our NY office is home to a number of top achievers, and reviews in NY have historically been very positive, so I'd appreciate more insight from you. Your opinion matters to us. Please feel free to contact me at 813-448-1932."

Former Employee - Business Manager says"In North America, managers have zero decision making power. The President's yearly messages contradict each other and he has no loyalty to his staff. Turnover is high because of this. Back office rule with an Iron fist and actually hamper sales."
Former Employee - Consultant says"Office politics, Back stabbing, Overworked."
IT Recruiter (Former Employee) says"During Covid-19 this company laid off nearly 50 employees, after the CEO inform us their would be no lays off. Very low pay for the amount of work you are doing.Office culture is very toxic. Managers are very inconsistent and are always on vacation. They are not trustworthy and do not take criticism very well. Management needs to be replaced.Little to no diversity.healthcarelow pay, toxic office culture"
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) says"I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Extremely unprofessional and toxic workplace culture stemming from the directors down. I didn't even last 6 months at this company. This place took a mental toll on me and I didn't realise exactly how bad it was until I left. There is a culture of competitiveness, bullying, people having outside of work relationships (if you know what I mean... affairs the works) - mainly managers and directors from what I gathered whilst I was there. It is not a place for kind and good people. Its a breeding ground for bad people and a terrible environment to work in, being overworked, run down, bullied and judged. They make you work 8-5.30pm everyday and it is expected you do overtime and dont get paid for it. Im surprised fair work haven't been into this place. If you are a company looking to use hays dont do it and if you are looking to work there... well here is your warning.NoneLong hours, bullying, manipulation, toxic culture"
Responsable de almacén (Former Employee) says"Trato nefasto a las personas. Muy poca profesionalidad."

Electrician - Electrical Data Voice Installations (Former Employee) says"They take advantage of key workers in a crisis by paying them half the hourly rate of pay, While the cost of living skyrockets. Content Reviewer (Former Employee) says"I came from a big European country to work in this company. After I arrived in Ireland, they delayed my starting date ( me and others ) because they insisted about calling and sending mail to english speaking referee ( having experience only in non english speaking countries this was very difficult and not clarified from the beginning). when starting your first job in Ireland you are on emergency tax ( half salary ) until receiving and giving your PPS number to the company ( about 1 month with normal company ). I did everything I was supposed to, but after 3 months, I'm still on emergency tax, I get only half my salary. Ireland Tax administration cannot take me out of emergency tax because of Hays incompetent payroll team. I'm leaving this joke of a company as soon as possible. many many better company to work for."

So it comes back ive done one day which i travelled over a hour too! they then paid me £37 for a 10am till 5pm shift....oh no i wasnt it didnt even come and i was ignored when asking about it. good job i have another job."
Office Administrator (Former Employee) says"No progression, no diversity even though they say there is. hardly any payrise. Management are not good. Workload is appaulling, expect 3 peoples work to be on one person without any support or help. Not worth the salary the amount of work you actually do."
Receptionist/Administrator (Current Employee) says"They treated me unfairly, everyone speaks about one another, they take money out of your salary, some of them are racist. They say in the contract they will pay you for sick pay but they don't actually. They do not care if someone in you family has passed away they still expect you to come into work. They give no training whatsoever either. The things ive heard about this place just horrifies me"

QBE Insurance Claim Assistant (Former Employee) says"I would not recommended Hays as a agency they were very unhelpful and did not for fill the needs of the client or worker. I would not recommend agency work at all"
Manager of Candidate Relation (Former Employee) says"Leider total die entäuschende Erfahrung. ZentralMobbing, mangelde Expertise"
Mr Daniel B Gyamfi says"Poorly structured in terms of problem resolution, local Consultants seems to struggle to understand their role, poor communication and implementation of agreed contractual instructions. (Chelmsford Branch)
There's always issue with time sheets which prolong payment."
