Globant Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Globant is an IT and Software Development company operating in Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, the United Kingdom, Brazil, the United States, Peru, India, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Romania and Belarus. It was formed in 2003 by Martín Migoya, Guibert Englebienne, Martín Umaran and Néstor Nocetti. It was founded in Buenos Aires, but currently is headquartered in Luxembourg and principally serves clients
Current Employee - Software Engineer says"the company is managed poorly, has poor pay, and benefits are frustrating. Went from working for an awesome small company, to getting acquired, to getting sent on lame projects in small teams. Felt like I no longer worked for any company, didn't get to work with any coworkers. Don't work here."
Current Employee - Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer says"Company has no idea how to do business outside of engaging with partners and clients that they already have through development contracts. Beware, they will move you to another city (yes even for short term contracts), give you relocation, and then the moment the client changes their mind a couple weeks later, they will terminate you, without PTO, without severance, without reimbursements to what they owe you, without getting your side of the story. You are the mercy of a potential client that might not give you ample information for your requirement to do you job, and to make it even worse, you won't have access to do your job either. I asked for access on a daily basis and escalated to my project manager who was an offshore manager who had no idea how to align with the client and get me the information I needed to do my job. Will leave you high and dry in the end. They let me go on Veterans day to top it all off before Thanksgiving/Holidays after I got sick for 2 days. So now I'm out several thousand dollars preparing to move, signing and then having to backout of a lease, no severance or assistance, and even them not paying my mileage and other agreed to items. Unbelivable that this place would do that, and I'd advise anyone to make sure you sign a signon bonus or get the relocation up front. ."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Management is not as talented as team members, success metrics are not clear and often changing, very little sense of community between management and team member, you are working to benefit a few number of top executives rather than the team."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Horribly unorganized. If you're in Globant, you'll notice that almost all upper management roles and director roles are employees from Argentina, and very few women or diversity employees."
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Globant senior leadership tends to only promote Argentinian Men, very sexist and racist company to work for. Many of those who sit in senior leadership are not even qualified to do their jobs which makes it worse, the company is plagued with favoritism. This is greedy organization they do not care about ethics of running good business practices. I am in the US as a Senior Web UI and Globant is nothing more than a glorified Cheap StaffAug company. They don't pay well and fail to give consistent cost of living increases, no career paths and you are treated like a second class citizen on client sites. The US HR team has made tremendous strides in trying to clean up the mess but they get absolutely NO Support from Senior Management. It's time to Grow Up Globant or you will be sued due to poor ethics, business practices, or get hit with a sexual harassment case with the foul things I've seen at company events. Even American strong senior leaders they hire turn out to leave Globant after less than a year once they find out how poorly this company is ran with a bunch "not the smartest group" of people running the company in Argentina. My two cents... Don't waste your career at this toxic place, I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but it's really gone from bad to worse, I am looking to get out of this zoo!"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"poor HR leadership; low wages, poor account management . US recruitment is based out of Mexico;"
Current Employee - Senior Software Engineer says"Bad management, poor pay and lot of broken promisses. Management is all a bunch of non technical people only worried about their bonuses and how to make more money by engaging you into tons of work and poor payment. They lie to clients, cheat them, put underqualified people and bill them as experts and expect that the rest of the team do their job for the same pay. They overcharge clients for business travels, unexistent experts and hours. Send you to United estates to work with a B1 visa and make you lie to the authorities. Managers are secretaries that only knows about spreadsheets and internal billing tools, they go to client meetings and talk nonsenses. Don't let yourself be con by the outside all of the biggest clients of Globant move on and all that is left is really tiny small accounts, big clients notice the are been rip off sooner or later."
says"Like many others reviews, this company is not for you (no matter how qualified and talent you are) if you are not frhiom Argentina. HR and Management only do not take care of employees unless you are from Argentina. Top positions are only taken by them and clear career path only for them, that why they last more than one year at Globant and also because of their visas (L1)"
Former Employee - Sales Executive says"Terrible communication from leadership. No on board training. Not transparent in company goals. Not much else to share regarding cons"
says"Horrible culture that doesnt care about employees only the bottom line. They are only focused on making money for upper management and stock holders."
Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) says"A typical day at work begins with a Scrums if your team claims to be following the Agile manifesto. The Scrum is generally held before lunch. There is daily call with the client. After that there are multiple meetings to attend. After evening you can have some time for programming.good wifi connectivity"
DevOps/AWS Engineer (Former Employee) says"Globant has no idea how to do business outside of engaging with partners and clients that they already have through development contracts. Beware, they will move you to another city (yes even for short term contracts), give you relocation (only if they approve it through their many layers of inept LAM managers), and then the moment the client changes their mind a couple weeks later, they will terminate you, without PTO, without severance, without reimbursements to what they owe you, without getting your side of the story. You are the mercy of a potential client that might not give you ample information for your requirement to do you job, and to make it even worse, you won't have access to do your job either. I asked for access on a daily basis and escalated to my project manager who was a offshore manager who had no idea how to align with the client and get me the information I needed to do my job. Took them 3-4 weeks to just get me the access I needed to even do the actual work. You could have done everything right in accordance to their contract, but they (Globant) will leave you high and dry in the end. They let me go on Veterans day to top it all off before Thanksgiving/Holidays after I got sick for 2 days. So now I'm out several thousand dollars preparing to move, signing and then having to backout of a lease, no severance or assistance, and even them not paying my mileage and other agreed to items. This place is trashy to say the least and I'd advise anyone to make sure you sign a signon bonus or get the relocation up front. This company is run out of Latin America,"
Senior Agile Business Analyst (Former Employee) says"Sent me to die to a ridiculous fuzzy demanding client. I gave it all, it didn't work, they fired me. The client's PO was an idiot. Then the client fired the PO and used my work in the end, amazing!working from homemanagement, pay, teamwork"
Project Manager (Former Employee) says"Co-workers are excellent, at least most of them, the company is nice at the beginning but upper management is deficient. Salaries below market and overtime is not paid."
Senior JAVA Developer (Current Employee) says"A typical day in the office start by you going to the office, eating breakfast there using their expending machines. If you want you can use the pool table or ping pong table. As long attend to the meetings your team has, and deliver the code its all fine and good. Is a very deliver oriented which is fine... if you don't have any sort of personal investment on your work. The teams are normally great, there are a great cohesion between all the teams. It's really really hard to try to expand your knowledge by moving from a project in which you use your base technology to another project with a different technology. The most enjoyable part of the day is just being there with your team. Odds are that you will end doing way more work than they pay you to do, and that's fine, if only they bother to give you some kind of credit for that.music room, game roomPosible long hours, lack of recognition in your work, stagnated salaries"
Sr Project Manager/Scrum Master (Former Employee) says"Globant LLC is an international IT Services company growing quickly in the USA. Their management structure is immature and still evolving. Benefits package is excellent.BenefitsManagement"
