Coyotes Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

The coyote (Canis latrans) is a species of canine native to North America. It is smaller than its close relative, the wolf, and slightly smaller than the closely related eastern wolf and red wolf. It fills much of the same ecological niche as the golden jackal does in Eurasia, though it is larger and more predatory, and it is sometimes called the American jackal by zoologists. Other names for the species, largely historical, include the prairie wolf and the brush wolf.

Coyotes can be dangerous and aggressive, according to Christopher Kossow at quora.com

"They can certainly be dangerous. And obviously they have an advantage in numbers. What part of the country are you in? The eastern coyotes tend to be much larger than their western cousins. There have been some studies that theorize they are more closely related to a wolf than the western coyote. Generally, I have found that large domestic dogs like your malamute will be enough to deter 1 or 2 coyotes. I don't think they form larger packs like wolves as a rule, but I suppose they could. This is their breeding season right now (late winter). So hopefully the increased activity you are hearing is more due to that than aggression towards you and your dog."
