"I wouldn't touch this company with barge pole, give false references out. Management ring you up when sick giving you grief. Rotas are really slow to be done. You ask for certain days to be off you don't get them. Training is really poor. False promises from day one. Directors interfer with day to day running when they haven't got a clue. Have cameras up to watch staff"

"Not a great place to work any more. Cons: no real career prospects unless you happen to be from the US"

Support Staff (Current Employee) says

"Mediocrely ran, team leaders haven’t got a clue except for when they want to yell at staff members for petty things, constantly outside smoking & on their phones. Also the directors don’t get involved with the running of the home even though during the interview I was told they are actively involved. Cons: Too many to list"

Clinical staff and other support disciplines have the best intentions, but in the end find too much strife and politics, and end up disheartened and leaving. No pay increases in over five years. "My time at Cima gave me the opportunity to hone a variety of valuable business skills. However, there no opportunity for advancement of professional position or salary once I attained my position. The ownerships had little or no regard for employees well being. Salaries were dismal and benefits were poor to non-existent. Vacation was nonexistent. The company was operating in ethical grey areas. Cons: lack of benefits, hourly time clock, no opportunity for advancement, bad ownership, poor benefits and growth for employee retention."

Former Employee - Administrative Assistant says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Managers who have had no proper management training at all and are completely clueless Treat staff like dirt Bullying Backstabbing Favouritism Run by Americans, and all they think about is money, money, money, money, money...You are a commodity and nothing more. Nobody is valued This is the worst place I have ever heard of. I was overjoyed to get a job working somewhere like this but that very quickly turned to dust as I discovered why others were leaving in droves. This is the most miserable godforsaken hole I have ever had the misfortune to work in. If you value your sanity, do not work here. My tip for you. Read the reviews. They are all true"

Former Employee - Events Team says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for less than a year Cons: - Favouritism in this place is evident - Politics in the company is very apparent and childish - Manager was very horrible and got a kick of how he treated me. Managed to get away with it through the fact that a similar situation had not occurred before. - HR is absolutely PANCE! The kind of place that covers up things rather than truly solve it. Very biased. - Managerial system is honestly a joke. Clear to see who is up each others backsides. - Pay is rubbish - Unprofessional manager but the company sided with him - Talk about values but staff members don't follow it - Discriminating jokes were made by my manager and he thought it was okay to say in the place of others but nothing came of it - They support who they like This office/company will not uphold its standard. Always talking about budgets, paying for the office will soon be a clear struggle."

Former Employee - General Manager says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for more than a year Cons: Complete lack of UK understanding and overseas people operating things incorrectly. Overpaying people and underpaying external people and this is not acceptable. Lack of understanding government regulations as well as the final outcome. US rulings are not acceptable as it is back to front. They cannot organise anything correctly and that again is a complete disaster"

Current Employee - Customer Service Representative says

"I have been working at CIMA full-time for more than a year Cons: Management, impersonal, lack of transparency."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for more than 3 years Cons: A despicable company. No loyalty to staff that have provided many years of service and made many sacrifices for the good of the company. Staff are treated with a total lack of respect by management and are not given the opportunity to contribute, lead or make a difference. Lies and deceit by management are commonplace. This has caused a great deal of unrest amongst the staff and many have left the company in recent months due to the frustrating work environment. Redundancies have also had an impact on staffing levels and moral is rock bottom. No one should have to work under these conditions. As others have commented, it is who you know that gets you ahead at this company. The idiots are truely running the asylum. I pity the poor souls who have to endure the ongoing tripe that is dished out of the U.S."

Former Employee - Associate Director says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Strategic focus misaligned, culture in flux and negative, management and competitive from US lens"

"I have been working at CIMA full-time for less than a year Cons: Boring af Some management are useless Systems are rubbish Hardly any help"

Former Employee - Manager says

"I worked at CIMA full-time for more than 10 years Cons: The Americans taking over, and the subsequent brown nosing from CIMA staff who appear to be unashamed about the mess on their noses."

Current Employee - Marketing Coordinator says

"I have been working at CIMA full-time for more than 3 years Cons: American led culture after takeover Drop in ethical values Bad staff moral Backstabbing environment Credit given to staff who don't deserve it No prospect of promotion if you socialise with the wrong crowd. All decisions for a British Chartered Institute made in USA! High turnover of staff Slashed budgets in the UK while usa staff get free trips Relocating resources abroad at the expense of UK jobs. Departments in complete disarray Every week a friend leaves. Renumeration is not competitive"
