Bubble Shooter is a clone of the Puzzle Bobble arcade game that was released by Taito in 1994.
The Bubble Shooter game and IP is owned by Ilyon Dynamics, after it was acquired from Absolutist who released the original game in 2002. It was ported to iOS in 2010. It was ported to Android in 2012
In 2015, Absolutist sold the Bubble Shooter IP to Ilyon Dynamics LTD, which expanded the brand on mobile and into new platforms such as Facebook Messenger and the mobile eSports platform Skillz. A special version was developed and published with the Seminole Tribe of Florida using their Hard Rock Cafe brand.
A dissapointed games shares some thoughts about Bubble, ¨This game is useless. It just plain doesn't work as described. Interestingly, the tutorial (that shows you how it's supposed to work) actually works like a charm. The game itself, however, is totally dysfunctional. The bubbles are not removed as the tutorial indicates. In fact, sometimes, despite how many bubbles you have connected, none will be removed. I've tried removing it from my Kindle and re-installing it, but it still doesn't work. I'm quite good at games like this, so it's not that I'm not doing something right. Besides, when I do the tutorial, the game works exactly as it is supposed to. It's only when you go to play the actual game that nothing works correctly. I'm keeping it only because I like to do the tutorial, but as a game it deserves 0 stars, only that isn't an option, so I gave it 1 star. It really needs a lot of work.¨
