An angry customer called ¨El Be¨ shared her experience with Allstate Insurance in the comment section of a review published by NERD WALLET website: Allstate is the WORST. If you want the runaround, no accountability, lying company - this is the one for you. The claims department does not communicate with you, just closes claims. My insurance doubled after ONE fender bender with an old car. Literally both cars drove away fine and pictures were taken. When I asked my agent about it he blamed me for calling the 800 number instead of him directly. Really? When I asked him how things would have turned out differently, the only answer he could give me was an example of some woman who had flood damage in her home but didn't have flood insurance and called the 800 number instead. Is he saying they would have cheated the system and tried to get her coverage after the fact?! I don't give a damn about some other nefarious case, I'm concerned about my rates. When I told him that and added I was getting pissed off because I wasn't getting answers, he then says I won't get better coverage because of my accident; and then adds that for what I'm still paying I have excellent coverage. He then tried to upsell me on additional coverage when we already agreed that I'd had one accident in 32 years of driving and I was looking to see why my rates were so high. That was 20 minutes of life wasted. That happened today. I've already gotten 3 quotes from other reputable known companies that are better with the same or better coverage. By tomorrow, Allstate will no longer be my insurance company. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM ALLSTATE.
