"They talk a lot about how they value employees and how great their pay, benefits and engagement is - and on the surface, it looks and sounds great. However, the truth is their benefits are super expensive and they try really hard to keep/move employees off their plans, they do not like paying overtime and pay is average at best (no matter what they try to sell about their bonus plan - everyone has a bonus plan - the truth is in what you actually pay and not what you say my 'potential' is). They 'downsize' in small numbers often, expect 60+ hours a week and run very thin as their only focus is keeping margins high. Recent payroll & benefit issues and lack of response from human resources has eroded trust with many employees."

"I have been heavily involved with the integration of my firm with AG and I have never experienced a more disorganized joke of a process in my professional life. definitely do not recommend working here. good people but horrible communication. trainwreck.nothingeverything"

"Requirements for overtime were unreasonable, especially around the holidays, no work life balance. Loud environment so you are competing on the phone with the person next to you. No communication between leaders and employees."

Management is catty and gravitates to drama fueled on fear and gossip. Most positions are purely transactional.Coworkers are great. Good benefits. Pay is decent.Poor management. Lots of drama. "The salary at AG is extremely low for the expectation and duties they look for. It gets pretty busy around here and the pressure comes down on the employees. Mandatory overtime also comes into play when there’s a ton of work to be done. As a brokerage/financial investment company the salary should be higher then they offer. The salary is a big concern at AG. The work environment is okay however management tend to not know how to separate work life and personal life and will talk nasty to employees. AG will provide food every once in a while. The benefits are pretty decent and you receive a yearly bonus based of your performance.Free food and cares about work/personal life balanceLow salary and management"

"Great ideas for the employees by the HR, but not much execution on them by the local managers, who also don't seem to be kept accountable for their managerial skills by the executives. Very few of the managers I had worked with so far stand out as leaders and proactively take ownership in resolving issues or implementing changes. Performance review is not helpful since the personal goal setting is superficial, just to check a box. My manager doesn't even bother to provide though out specific department goals. No such thing as a team - people are cliquey and afraid that if they make a mistake, they will be talked down and not supported to learn from it. My department head has a condescending attitude to everyone below him and completely different attitude towards people with power in the company.Good benefitsGrowth opportunities vary based on the department"

"A typical day at work involved performing daily system import task, meeting and collaborating with manager and coworker on system review task, and system deadlines and all task that we must complete before deadlines.I learned how to assist in the preparation and implementation of a hosted website, understand technical terms, and how to prepare presentations to assist website users on using the site.The management team was a new team established by the firm when I first started. Some coming from non managerial positions and others coming from management positions that were not related directly to the role. So it was a learning process for us all.I have one lateral coworker outside of my supervisor and we collaborated well to achieve the task that we were assigned.My passion is driven to help individuals in which I can display to the best of my ability on this job however I do not want to utilize my desire to help people in a technical environment. So I would say the hardest part of my job is learning a role that I don't have a sincere intrest for. I would like to transition into role that involves helping people on a higher level in the Higher Education arena.The most enjoyable part of my job is that I have the ability and expertise to create tools that will help the website users have a seamless breakfast once a month, and transportation voucherstoo far from home, not the field that i am interested in."
