Achmea Holding N.V. is one of the largest suppliers of financial services in the Netherlands. The company was formed by a merger of Zilveren Kruis and Avéro Centraal Beheer Groep on January 1, 1995. The roots of Achmea date back to 1811 when the Frisian accountant, Ulbe Piers Draisma, founded the "Onderlinge Brand Assurantie Sociëteit" in Achlum, Frisia, the Netherlands.

A former employee said this in a review "A lot of Hype with no substance. Recruit the masses and sell products. Treat everyone like they are going to be successful but work with them like they are leaving tomorrow. No real sales support and if your doing great they will fly you around to speak at meetings but when your business is down the same people are no where to be found. Do not work at Achmea".

"I had really bad experience with the reisverzeking from centraal beheer. They rejected a genuine claim from me. The low cost airlines cancelled the tickets and refused to give refund, obviously we will ask reisverzekering but according to them this is between airlines and me.."

"Update now 12 more emails no reply from them.They should have paid me 34,000 euros,but not one reply from them,these are crooks,all you every get are auto replies This has to be the worst company I have ever dealt with,you send them an email and get a message back we will contact you within 14 days.Nothing happends.For the last two years,I have emailed them so many times and never had a reply.Last time it took THREE MONTH before I got a reply This year I am due for the payment I have been trying to get information about.I sent 11 emails before I had one reply and then nothing.No contact person,they also say they can not speak English,They are a Dutch company and everyone in Holland speaks Dutch.In the end I posted a message on their Face book page and got an answer.My policy is due 1st July,but so far nothing from them.This is one company I would never advice any one to deal with,they take your money every month,but when you try to find your about being your investement back,you hear nothing"
